TT saw the over/under for him scoring 4 points and had to cash-in.

He's a solid enforcer type.

Not really a big deal I have to conclude. I think both sides had their words, but if anything heated was actually going on, the Cavs players/coaches wouldn't have let Thompson keep going back and jawing let alone enter the tunnel the same time that Raptors players were going down it.

This was unusual not only because Tristan was playing in front of his hometown but because I thought it was pretty clear that it was part of Tristan's job definition to be the guy who takes a turnover and sometimes two after yet another Cavs victory to run out the clock.

For your first question, it's due to the Trump tariffs. There was some booing in the NHL from Canadian fans against American teams not directed because the teams, but basically saying we're booing you as a symbol to boo Trump.

As for Thompson doing it specifically as a Canadian, has me confused.

Probably mad he couldn’t make the Canadian team roster. Some dude name “Scrubb” got in over him

Quite a few people on here saying the Raptors shouldn't have gotten upset about the violation of the unwritten rule. But if you watch, it appeared to be Tristan that was stirring things up after the game. I'm sure something was said, but that seems reasonable. I'm confused as to why TT decided to instigate so much after the final buzzer.

I hate when teams dribble it out and take the shot clock violation. It's fine when it's the last possession before the final buzzer but taking the shot clock violation is stupid.

This was stupid because it was before the final buzzer and the Raps stopped defending

The context I'd add here is that a lot of teams try to junk up the game when the Cavs are up big under the theory that the officials won't call everything in a 20 point game. I'm actually fine with that as it has provided the Cavs with the opportunity to learn to play through it before the playoffs. However, it does goes too far sometimes, NBA players will test those boundaries, it gets a little dangerous, and TT is our enforcer.

Last night TT got fouled pretty hard with a minute left, it wasn't called, and he was just sending a message.

I actually thought that letting TT walk back there with the Raptors players was pretty stupid.

To be honest, Thompson embarrassed himself on that play. Where's your pride, dude? You're not a career g-leaguer who's never been in an nba game before.

For some weird reason, the Raptors and visiting team have to go down the same exit. One exit is meant for the Raps and the visiting team while the other is meant for the Leafs. I dunno why it's like that but oh well.

Besides, Tristan Thompson has a rep up here in the north being a Brampton native. He does have home wrecker tendencies off the court(irrelevant but w/e). I'm honestly impressed that he's still able to hold down a spot as a 3rd stringer/vet after being in the league for this long.

I think it's kinda cool he was like the cavs starting center 10 years ago in 2k14 and still in the team in a Haslem type role .

I thought it was because he got snubbed by Team Canada during these past Olympics for all the loyalty he showed the program lol

Tristan went off haha

Good for Tristan and he's right. Darko is a goof, in way over his head as an NBA coach. Stick to your script given by management and just focus on tanking, Raptors will can him once we're serious about winning basketball games again.

Unwritten rules are dumb, play out the game to the end of the clock. Also TT is a dumbass, trying to fight the smallest guy on the Raptors, what a weirdo.
