If Black losses that is two vests IMHO he has been robbed from. We either "expect him" to do this good all the time and its a nothing burger or this is him playing above his base. Right now, i'm going with playing above his base, as fan perception is not he is a consistent 18ppg scorer even if I think that is where his potential is.

Yeah in both those games AB was the 2nd highest scorer and second best player on the court that night. That’s well above what we expect from him. Paolo and Franz are expected to put up fat stats and have impact because they’re our stars.

Paolo had a great game for him there is little doubt of that. We played and beat a D-league team. Sure.

If we say two things can be true at the same time. Technically Paolo under performed? Black over performed? Based on "opponent strength". But isn't the overperformed worthy of a Vest while Paolo under performs and you could argue he should have put up 40+.

Sweater Vest No. 27 Results
Vest - Anthony Black
Cummerbund - Paolo Banchero
Mittens - Wendell Carter Jr.

Black got more first place votes via thread responses and that's what we're using as the tiebreaker.

Humble opinion, this is not a good year to over analyze vest points. It is a good year to see who has stood out, stepped up, or disappeared.

Grades :
AB : A-
Franz : A+
Paolo : A
Goga : B+
Cole : B-
JI : B-
Suggs : A
KCP : D+
TDS : B+
Mo : A+
Trevelin Queen : A+
WCJ : C
Garry Harris : D-

Biggest take aways. Garry could be replaced for anyone and I am not sure it impacts the season.

Paolo / Franz / Suggs when healthy have not a disappointment.

This time last year JI would have been an A. This team I worry giving him B- is too generous.

AB, would have an A+ if he makes the most of all the chances he is given. So A- could be a B+ or even B in other peoples eyes, but he shows up for the most part.

Mo when healthy was on the verge of a career season.

TDS, Trevelin, have all been pleasant surprises.

Cole, Jett, WCJ I had to remind myself that they wear the uniform when thinking about this. Edit : KCP too.

Good analysis! AB gets kudos for availability and unlocking some playmaking. Franz gets kudos for going super Saiyan. I’m proud of Goga as well for winning the starting role. TDS gets kudos for stepping up as a rookie. That’s really it for me.

One thing I think I can say for certain is how much Suggs impacts the defense and how much Mo off the bench impacts the offense. They have motor that is just so hard to quantify until you see it. Or in our case. Lose it.
