https://open.spotify.com/episode/2u11bZMwXYaLLJf7AZiu8z?si=YYYwbKStR0W3b_ISvB-Oxw&t=1653

Nurse still doing the basketball 101 fundamentals error in the tall people sport over and over again is wild. This killed me every time (and lost us a playoff game against Philly!).

The last second inbounds play: "...like 3 seconds left...washed Lowry inbounds defender...because he's so small and unathletic the pass goes over his head...you never see that pass made because usually the guy on the court is tall enough...

"[Nurse] is harmful in a lot of ways"

Love seeing someone else other than me lose their mind over this.

In his last season here, I often wondered if Nurse was purposely sabotaging the Raptors. Of course he can do stupid things naturally, like calling that timeout after Kawhi's spurt putting us into a two possession lead, in the last few minutes of Game 5 against the Warriors. :banghead:

I was at that game with my wife. We had booked a sleep over babysitter so we could go party on the streets after the win. :nonono:

Yeah I usually don't hammer coaches on a few ATOs here and there. It's a minor quibble about coaching.

I sincerely think he just doesn't compute certain players limits/abilities if he likes them too much.

The last second short guy inbounds problem is the glaring example of this and was just a constant mistake, and way worse when both Lowry and Fred were on the floor together. The Wolves game where Fred ended up on KAT/Wiggins is still lodged in my brain.

The vision never could take off because he literally didn't believe that Fred being short was an actual factor in schemes. Like a 40yo man still believing in Santa.

I haven't seen many Knicks games but it feels like the best thing for Precious was a veteran, no nonsense coach who narrowed the scope of his role and held him accountable

That's fair. I feel like he stopped doing foolish dribbling forays down the court as soon as he got to NY last year. Nurse was known for encouraging all players to push the ball on the break but he seemed to know instinctively not to do it as a Knick. I'm sure Thibs and staff had a part in narrowing his role. I'm happy for him having found place in the league on a winning team. But we'll see what happens when Mitch Robinson and OG return, and also what happens this summer.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

According to the box score he’s not even with the team. I don’t really follow the Pelicans so I’m not sure what the reason is.

Poor Norm still not over the trade. That was a bad trade, probably the beginning of the bad moves post-title.

Raptors legend Red VanVleet signed with the Team formerly known as the Bobcats.

The legend lives on!

JV with a 15 PTS, 14 REB, 4 STL, 3 BLK game after Sabonis went down with injury. Kings beat the Rockets.

The trade already paid off for Sacramento.

Great contract for a player that's actually a full year younger than Agbaji and would have cost Toronto no assets. I'll never understand why management had zero interest in keeping him.

We had a coach who wasn't going to live thru the ups and downs. Just like Boston didn't.

And even Washington, he played most of the year in the Gleague. Good for him for getting that contract.

Another player we lost for nothing.

i'm glad he's finding a way to survive in this league but even in a tanking year, he would've been behind boucher in the lineup.
posters need to stop obsessing over mid-level prospects.
