As an old head, I've seen a ton of big games. From the Celtics/Lakers, Heat/Knicks, Pistons/Bulls, you name it.

Game that sticks out to me the most?

Oddly enough, the playoff game Luka Doncic absolutely tortured the Suns. I believe it was game 7, in PHX, and he just abused them, and was yelling to the crowd. It was the spectical of the whole series, which culminated in that beatdown.

I've seen players clown a team, but Luka did something special that night, that I can't remember ever seeing before, in that fashion. Amazing.

Arenas dropping 60

Kobe was mad as hell after the game, saying in the press conference "He was taking a lot of bad shots!"

And then Barkley said "Its a good shot if it go in"

Pierce's duel with LeBron was honestly a historic game. Game 6, New School vs Old School, and both guys just put the team on their backs. Pierce went for 42 and LeBron had 45. Game was awesome, and probably why he viewed Pierce as his rival, he's one of the only players to ever go toe to toe with him in the post season. Def my favorite game

Obviously LeBron Game 6 in 2011 stands out

Tatum has some classics at this point Game 7 rookie year vs LeBron, Game 6 and 7 against Giannis and Embiid.

Game 7 2016 obviously because who can forget how that game ended, and what happened the game before? Literal legacies were solidified in that game.

KD just shreading the CAVS in 2017 stood out to me

Curry and Wigs decapitating the Celtics in game 4 in 2022 was heart breaking

Game 7 2010 was not ony a fantastic game that went down to the wire, but also the moment when my heart was ripped from my chest and handed to me still beating. Pau Gasol saved Kobe's ass. I'll always hate Sheed

Also, as dumb as it sounds, Pierce had a game I think in 2006, where he was tied with Bird for most games with 30+ points consecutively, and he hit the game winning shot over Gil to get above 30 and break the Celtic record. Nothing crazy, just a cool storyline that was those horrible pre-Big 3 Celtics

Blake Griffen's first week of basketball, mainly that NY and that OKC game. I remember thinking Blake would be good, but man that dude had me jumping out of my coach, those 2 games have us decades worth of famous highlights and some of the best dunks in NBA history. Period. Early Blake was must watch TV, and it was a treat when he was on.

T-Mac's 13 points in 33 seconds. Watching what I thought was garbage time for no good reason. And then T-Mac went crazy. Bonus points for doing it against the league's #1 defence with first-team all defence Bowen as the primary defender.

As a Jazz fan, game 6 of the 1998 Finals is a tad hard to forget. I remember that with about a minute left, it was looking like it was going to game 7, but then Jordan did Jordan sh*t.

There's too many...MJ flu game, Kawhi game 7 winner, LeBron game 7 to beat GSW etc etc.

BUT one that will always be kinda fond to me is I was a young dude at the club and the LAKERS/BLAZERS game was on and it was ill because it felt like 3/4 of the club just stopped partying and started watching the Lakers come back and everyone went wild when Kobe threw that alley oop to Shaq, everybody went nuts when Shaq was running back pointing at the bench. While I was hating lol because I'm so sick of the Lakers being the most heavily blessed franchise ever, it was still one of the craziest comebacks to watch considering legacies were in the balance. Kobe & Shaq could NOT lose that series if they wanted to be considered amongst the all times of the league when they were (rightfully) dubbing them best duo the league had ever seen.

Obviously it was a big moment but I'm sure just the atmosphere of that night and where I happened to be just made that more memorable because everybody just randomly locked in and went wild as the tide changed.

This multiple overtime game between Philly and the Knicks when the best player was Kenny Thomas. I was literally yelling at my TV.

Game 3, 2021 NBA Finals. I was in the house when the Bucks got their first finals win since 74.

Last regular season game of Dr. J at the MECCA in Milwaukee. 1987, mid April. I don't know the exact date but Juan Nieves tossed Milwaukees only no hitter ever, during a 13 game win streak to open the season. Ok, mixing sports but I'm a Dr J fan and the Brewers were hot to start the season.

Ps, The MECCA Arena is the loudest sports venue I have been in. Hands down.

Golden State's 132-98 win over Cleveland. It was a statement game on the road from the Warriors.

The NBA had just switched to a microfiber ball and switched back a month later after complaints from the players in the league. In this game Kobe hit 10 or 11 straight baskets in a row with the microfiber ball. His legs weren't totally back yet but the skills, the grace, the aggression...only player to bring that type of mentality to scoring that we've seen is probably Jordan. One of my favorite games that I watched of his. For DBZ fans, Kobe has always reminded me of Vegeta. RIP, champ.

BTW: I think that microfiber ball would have increase scoring like crazy. For some reason it just seemed like it helped shooters. Though the players complained about its grip when dry and wet, rough texture, finger cuts, inconsistent bounce..

This is it for me. I was at an Alabama football camp and we were all in a lobby watching it. Was awesome.

Live like on tv was the Bird steal and pass to Johnson. My heart bursting. Felt it in my earlobes and ankles lol

In person game was Celtics playing I think an exhibition game in Toronto before TO got a pro team. I think Larry Legend was hurt or done playing but anyway it was not in a basketball purpose built stadium. Possibly the old hockey or baseball stadium if anyone can fill in details.

I took American History in high school because there was a trip to Boston lol. Visited the old Garden. Huge moment.

Got to see a game at MSG during a trip to NYC which was really based around a Pacino in a Shakespeare play on Broadway. Basketball mecca. Important and memorable. NYC is an amazing city.

Best of all, first Spurs game in person in San Antonio. I love SA. Outside is summer, I could see it being home away from home.

On a later trip, got to see Wemby in his rookie season in games in San Antonio.

Want to see a game in Utah during Sundance.

Half in the bag and so forgot about Nuggets being in Colorado. Would like to visit that state, too, among others.

Philly game 7 vs the Raptors in 2019 and Milwaukee game 3 same year.

Non raps games -

Game 7 GSW vs Cleveland 2016 finals
Game 7 Sac vs Lakers 2000 for all the wrong reasons
Game 7 2000 when Portland had a huge lead vs the Lakers going into the 4th and then the Lakers took it in the WCF. Refs had a huge influence on that one too.

I'm from Australia, my wife is from USA.
We were lucky enough to go to all 7 games of the 2012 ECF which was the last hurrah for the big 3 (+Rondo) Celtics vs Heatles.

Series went 7 games and we got ridiculously good seats for all 7 games...like first 5 rows lol.

The Celtics went up 3-2 in Miami and the last 3 games in particular were something I'll never forget as a basketball fan.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.
