Re: Myles Turner value this summer
If the Nets decide to go big game hunting, e.g. Giannis, I could see them moving Claxton and making a sizable offer to sign Turner since he's a more versatile fit.

The Pacers should resign Turner to a contract like I suggested he'd be one of the best value and most versatile centers in the NBA.

Use to be able to salary dump your way into free agency or take advantage of matching rules in sign and trades. Now only two teams max likely have cap space.
For players, means they are are losing a negotiation advantage and will have smaller annual amounts imo.
Also means that the Lakers can't just go buy whoever they want!
New owners cheaping out anyways. New owner ship probably wanted the new CBA so fan base couldn’t pressure them into a large tax bill.
The golden ages of Jerry buss are gone sadly lol

he doesn't have to want to leave. he can just not want to leave money on the table.

If he wants more money, that's a reason for him to want to leave

a wise man once told me that hind sight is 100% and whatever you chose to do is what you wanted to do regardless of what your mind is telling you that you wanted to do.
