Welcome! We'd love if you wanted to give it a shot. :)

Yes sir. Did a little research on you, as I do with all new players. You're good to go, welcome aboard! :D

I guess I can give it a go. It looks like we have 2 hours to pick before being "skipped"?

Yeah you just make your next pick whenever you're back, or send out a list if you're going to be gone. I recommend the list.

I'll join. Apologies about my last draft by the way, I believe Jimmy Plopper let you know but I had account difficulties in the 2nd round

88 draft picks (11 drafters x 8 picks each)
120 total eligible picks (30 franchises x 4 picks each)

Going to be a very interesting final round or two! Not sure how notable the restriction will feel by then. Uncharted territory.

11 is a weird number. At that point I definitely couldn't reduce the lockdown number (that would leave a cushion of only two picks which could really screw the people at the end), but I'm wondering if I should have still reduced the time frame.

There are at least a couple of franchises that should be locked down around halfway through, and would definitely affect the remaining options in a real way. It would be more keenly felt with a couple of additional drafters though.

I think it's going to feel very loose for a few rounds until we start to eliminate some key franchises from the selection pool. Will be different in the sense it will feel very restrictive later but loose earlier

Yeah that's what I'm expecting.

Does Sabonis count for the Hawks, Blazers or both?

It seems by the rules currently written he would count for 2 franchises since the rules state "Franchises drafted by" and he was indeed drafted by 2 franchises.

The first selection was voided so only the second one (Portland) counts.

Does this mean the clock started 9 minutes ago and I will need to wait 2 hours for Laimbeers time to pass if he doesn't select?

Laimbeer isn't careful about his first picks... Second draft in a row

Yeah that Bird pick is kinda confusing. Doesn't seem like it could be down to misinterpreting the rules either.

My guess is Laimbeer may have made the "double boo boo" of both mixing up the timeframe and thinking the rules meant all his players had to be from Celtics or something.
