Definitely the most tempted I've ever been to buy it, but I just don't think I'd personally get enough value out of it even though it's only like $25 to upgrade right now lol.

I wanted MH Wilds on my PS5 so I can play it on my 75" easily, so I knew I needed to renew. Lucked out on the deal timing, but the sale definitely worked as intended - I went top-tier even though I'll probably never/rarely use it, lol.

Yeah it's literally cheaper to go top tier than the middle one right now lol. When I saw that it definitely got me considering buying it for the first time. Honestly maybe I should take another look at the catalog and see if there's anything I intended to buy anyways but I think I probably have enough of a backlog that it would still be a waste.

Got PGA 2K25 coming out on Friday too and I know that will absorb a ton of my gaming time since it's so easy to just pick up and play when I have a few minutes free here and there during the work day.

I too am excited for PGA, I couldn't stomach spending the $30 extra or whatever to get it a week early, so next week for me. Current PSN sub so can't take advantage :(

I'm not a gamer and have a console gaming question. Some of the clips on here look great and I imagine they'd look amazing on a 75" or so TV . But is that too large for actual gaming? Is a smaller TV preferable?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think if you're like trying to be a competitive gamer, you probably want a smaller screen. If you're just playing like a single player adventure type of game, being able to ball out on a big screen is sweet.

Agreed, I game mostly on my 27” PC monitor but when I fire up the Xbox on my 75” TV it’s so awesome.

I use a 32" curved monitor for my PC/PS5 gaming and then the Switch is on the TV in the living room since we use that for couch co-op gaming. I'll have to move the PS5 down there when Split Fiction comes out though; that game looks absolutely insane.

IMO it is the use case for console gaming. It's plug-and-play perfection on a **** gigantic "monitor." You can do it with a PC for sure, but it's clunkier (though much easier than it used to be).

Save system sucks in KCD2.

It's a weird system, needing to buy (or steal) save currency. I don't bother and I constantly quit to the main menu instead. Takes about 39 seconds, but it should be unnecessary. Just let me save when I want.

I do agree, but unless you're allergic to alchemy (fair - it's manual and not everyone's cup of tea), it doesn't matter at all past like 5 hours into the game. You can brew 4 schnapps in roughly 20 seconds.

Just let me save. Its the only gripe I have so far. Weak game design.

Yeah. As I lead with, I do agree. I just have legitimately not even thought about it since the second day I played. I just checked my stash and I have over 60 schapps lol.

Was streaming KCD2 with friends watching last night, finishing up the Mice quest line where you paint the cow. Got to the part where you help the group fist fight the other group. Won, and the guy I was supposed to turn the quest in was knocked out. So naturally I thought I'd pick him up and move him. Clicked the wrong button and snapped his neck....

Well, there was 7-8 potential witnesses also knocked out in the field around us. Had no choice but to continue snapping ALL of their necks to make sure I wouldn't be caught. Sadly, I missed one of the guys who gained consciousness and he saw the dead bodies as I was moving them to hide them and started to run back to town. I tried to chase him down but he was immune to losing stamina. Thought I saw him stop on the path so I snuck around and shot him with a crossbow. Turns out that wasn't the witness it was a peasant. So now I've killed 10 innocent people without ever wanting to.

Got to the city and the guards found me. 2,500 Groschen penalty which I couldn't afford so they branded me with a hot iron on the neck in front of town. The whole discord was howling with laughter. Such a funny moment to have people witness. After it all I decided to load a previous save. Wasn't going to ruin my main save with this. I'm loving this game.

I like KCD2 the most when I'm free to do what I want and I'm not pushed by some invisible clock. I was having a blast, playing stupid amounts of hours before the wedding. Once I started the wedding and the missions in Semine it took me about four or five nights to get through. I streamed some shows, watched hockey, and a four hour movie.

Gonna dive back in tonight and hopefully I can get back to dicking around.

Another non gamer question. You start a game, get to a certain point and save it so later you can pick up where you left off. Got it. But if you want you can start anew and save THAT one at a certain point too? Any reason you would want to do that ? Can you have unlimited saved games?
