NBC Considering 5 PM Eastern Start For 2026 NBA All-Star Game

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Feb 18, 2025 2:38 am

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will take place at the Los Angeles Clippers' Intuit Dome on February 15th and will be televised by NBC. NBA and NBC have discussed starting the game at 5 PM Eastern as opposed to its traditional start after 8 PM Eastern. NBC will also be televising the 2026 Olympics from Milan that weekend, but its coverage that day will long be over even with the earlier start.

The NBA has floated the idea of a one-on-one tournament, while some stars are discussing joining the Slam Dunk Contest next year. Ja Morant posted on X during Saturday's contest that he might want to participate.

The in-season tournament is dumb enough, we don't need an in-all-star-game tournament
