Re: Which bottom feeder offers Flagg the best path to success?
I'd say Utah. I feel like this is the exact scenario Ainge has been waiting for. He's just been waiting to get his hands on an elite talent. And as he's been waiting, he's just been collecting draft capital.
So once he gets that elite talent, he will just use all that extra draft capital to build out a talented team around him.
And Ainge already has all that draft capital stock piled and he's proven multiple times he knows how to use assets to build contending teams.
So ya as a Flagg fan, I'm hoping he ends up in Utah.

If they get Flagg do you think Ainge trades Markkanen? Or does Utah use them at both forward spots?

I have to imagine he is going to Utah after Utah played ball and shipped out Mitchell and Gobert to other franchises. The NBA tends to (seemingly) reward franchises who play ball and give up their stars to other markets. Pels getting Zion after AD, Cavs getting Kyrie and Wiggins after Bron went to Miami (even though it was in FA).

To be honest, I haven't really kept up with Utah this year.
But I'd say with him about to be 28 and with a sizeable contract. I wouldn't be shocked with him having the most trade value out of all the players, that him and his contract isn't used to bring in a younger star or star potential guy.
I do think Ainge has shown he's pretty willing to completely overhaul a team when he thinks it's time to do it.

Past success doesn't mean future success, especially with different FO and coaching staff involved. I like what they're doing in Washington and maybe the NBA gives the Wizards a My Bad on the 2024 NBA Draft.
Utah would be my next favourite place for him. Think Will Hardy is a decent coach, Ainge has proven to put together a potentially great roster and he certainly has the resources now to do that if he gets Flagg. Go and get Steph Castle for Lauri and the Jazz are in business.

It would take pressure off Flagg to deliver. Though, you can't possibly have him come off the bench, so someone would need to sit? RJ probably...
Toronto is just such a weird team to me. I don't like his fit there. They don't have any reliable floor spacing in their starting lineup. Flagg is just another guy that isn't a really strong shooter. They also have 3-4 guys that pretty much need the ball to be their best. On top of that, their books are clogged up and they don't have a clear path to improve the roster around the current cast.
I guess if Flagg is a legit 1A, future Top 10 guy, then the Raptors would be fine. Talent is talent and they can always shuffle the deck chairs to make it fit better. I just think their are better options in this poll.
I actually chose Charlotte. I like the culture Taylor Jenkins and his staff are building. I like LaMelo as a secondary star and ability to run a high powered offense and I think a:
Williams/Nurkic
Bridges/Williams
Flagg/Silaun
Miller/Smith
Ball/Mann
Is actually closer to an elite team (in the future) than the Raptors team is, plus they have more avenues to get even better.
Go Knicks!

My bias is talking but the Raptors offer him a team dead set on getting back to the playoffs right away and allow him to be the 4th option on offence.
Also the fact that the Spurs have a non zero chance of a wemby/flagg/vassell/castle/fox core is sickening please don’t allow it lol

Right. Obviously the real question here is which bottom feeder can develop Flagg the best for 4 years before they trade him to the Lakers for Bronny and a second.

Lauri has predominantly been playing the 3 for the past few years and can obviously play the 4 as well. Flagg might be a 2+3+4. They'd fit well together.

Utah in a landslide. Its not even close. They are best positioned to build a strong team around him.

Hornets. Melo, Flagg, and Miller is a nice core right off the bat.

They'll give him to Dallas so Nico can send him to the Lakers during his rookie season for pennies on the dollar because he ate a cupcake or something

Probably Washington and then Utah. I'm almost tempted to just say Utah, but I like Washington's core better and think they will have one more year of tanking left for a top prospect like Dybantsa. Flagg, Sarr, Bub, Coulibaly, and Dybantsa would be a strong core moving forward.

Use both for sure. Lauri is really just a large SG. So Flagg gets as many SF or PF mins as he can handle.
