Looks like Kevin Knox is taking one of the open spots.

It will be interesting to see what Knox can do. He was all over the map in pre-season but had some good moments. The nba body is real if he can just get consistent on the mental part.

I feel like Knox is one of those guys that looks like an amazing race car, but when you pop the hood you realise there's not much going on.

Makes sense, he's been dominating G-League and can't be signed as a 2way.

If there isn't a buyout option, I'm guessing Spencer gets the other spot. Then we give Javan Johnson a 2way as well as pick up Quincy Olivari for the last 2way spot.

Welp Kerr will spend two months trying to move him ahead of Moody.

I suspect the front office finally told Kerr to play Moody.

I'm looking forward to seeing Knox playing ahead of Moody, GP2, Looney, etc.

Ben Simmons was a more interesting target.

I liked how Knox has put his head down and stayed with the Santa Cruz team.....no need to make too much about the signing, it's only a 10 day contract and they can take a look at him in the big league to see if he can fill a role.

Full disclosure....I liked Knox coming out of UK and thought he had some Carmelo Anthony to his game.

He's sort of poor mans Kyle Kuzma, or Michael Porter Jnr. The architype is there, but maybe just not the engine.

Let's sign Jaden Springer. He's got a good NBA body and was playing good on ball defense with the Celtics before they salary dumped him. He won't provide much offense, but he won't turn the ball over or chuck up bad shots.

The Warriors are also required to get back to 14 signed players to the main roster by Thursday (2/20). 10-day contracts count towards that 14 player minimum. The Warriors may space out 10-day contracts and drop below 14 players once more to extract as much space below the 1st apron/hard cap as they can before committing to two players for the rest of the season.

All bets are off if someone gets waived who (a) the Warriors really want and could use, and (b) the player wants to sign with the Warriors. (b) has been the stumbling block for a long time with the Warriors.

There is another avenue for the Warriors should they commit to two rest of season players and someone they want gets freed up. They could waive Looney. It's an ugly option, one I don't think the Warriors would do, but it is nonetheless available to them.

It should be noted, unless my numbers are wrong (and they could be off slightly), is today was the first day since the trade that the Warriors could sign two rest-of-season players for the vet minimum and stay below the hard cap. Barely. Each day that goes by without those signings is more space below the hard cap. They say Knox won't be signed until after ASG weekend, so Monday at the earliest. Next Warriors game is on Friday.

Warriors don't HAVE to have 15 on the roster, and they only have $1.4 mil available under the first apron hard cap, so they would seem to sign Kevin Knox to a couple ten-day contracts, and then sign him for the rest of the season on a pro-rated portion of the $1,157,153 minimum salary. And keep that 15th spot open. Right?
