But but, is he fit to play?

He failed his super meaningful and perfectly honest physical exam with the Lakers not too long ago.

He somehow shed his full body cast. He's Houdini.

I'd also be like lol nah, I'm literally not healthy apparently (so good luck suspending me), please trade me to a team with an actual competent medical staff that views me as part of their future and I'll go rebuild my value and health there. Call me when its done! I'll be doing my PT out by the pool

I don't follow this at all

itll make sense when we trade him for pennies this offseason

There's no fresh start here. You'd be seen to have quit on one team just because they tried to trade you, and you'd have medicals that scared another team away from you that desperately needed a player like you.

It would just reflect negatively on you.

incorrect, nobody would hold Mark to blame for not playing with a failed physical, if thats what he chose to do.

So he's never going to play again? Because he's got a failed physical.

This take makes no sense. Why is he mad at Charlotte and quitting on them because he failed the Lakers physical?

Sneaky how Hornets PR photo-shopped in a plane staircase over Mark's wheelchair and ramp.

We are going to despicable lengths to cover up the damaged goods.

Lol, get out the stretcher and his hankies too!

I hope he puts up 30/10 and shuts up all the Lakers management, their apologists and all the crazy takes at once.

lol I mean we're usually pretty on the same page with the team being incompetent but I just don't get why he would be mad at Charlotte and refuse to play because LA cancelled the trade

that's what I'm missing

I don't think hes mad at the Hornets for LA cancelling the trade. I think its possible he just feels slighted by the Hornets trading him in general and would feel that way regardless of whether LA went through with it or not. Its possible he feels slighted by both parties.

I think some of the negative things people are suggesting could potentially have truth to them, but there really isn't much evidence either way about how Mark feels about the situation at this point, so idk why some people are so convinced the situation is headed for disaster. I could see things going either way tbh. I'm guessing things will become clearer sooner than later, though.

Guys do get traded all the time and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the time they feel slighted by it, especially the first time it happens. I mean, its been openly talked about how the situation caused a whirlwind of emotions for Knecht and he needed a little bit of time away from the team to process things. Seems kind of obvious guys could have feelings about being traded.

I'm guessing at this point Mark gets over it and its not that big of a deal, but idk.

I'm specifically referencing Kemba's posts.

Knecht also went back and played pretty soon without any of the "away from the team" crap so I don't quite get the comparison.

Lot of speculation. Some of it might be right. Hard to know as a fan looking at things from the outside.

I never had the feeling Mark wanted to see the floor that badly. If he doesn't play tomorrow or the rest of the season, it will be par for the course.

I bet he was happy that he was going to LA, and then pissed the trade got canceled, then hoping the lakers would change their mind.

What do we have to offer? Another season where the team isn't really trying that hard to win.

Mark plays like a P***y though. He is either to nice or doesn't have enough of a backbone to not let other players push him around on the court.

I will take back every bad thing I ever said about him if he will just come out destroy Luka or LeBron with one super hard foul. Or if he doesn't want to do that just move one player on the other team with a box out one foot.

What I expect is he will not play, because I don't think he really wants to play.

Hope he proves me wrong.

Mark thought he was a core piece of the team (like we all did). So getting traded was a big shock. Because not only does it mean he isn't necessarily in this teams future plans, but he's also been knocked down a few pegs while he is here because of that.

Luka got traded missed out on over 100 million dollars and is 30 times the player mark is. Showed up in LA at least trying to smile. Mark can **** off if he’s truly down and out about it

It's not about being traded. It's being traded, the team trading for him pulling out, and now he's stuck on a team that doesn't want him.

So he's probably thinking why should he play and risk injury for a team that doesn't want him.
