Orl-Chi
Another White to Orl try-I think he's a great fit there as a 6th man, and Chi needs to tank
Anthony/Howard/Den pick #25 for CWhite/Terry
The $ is almost exactly even, and only Howard's deal has 2 years
Orl gets a great third guard and goes with
Suggs/White
KCP/White/Black
Franz/Black/Terry
Paolo/Isaac/TDS
Carter/Goga/Wagner/Isaac
Plus their own pick (BPA)
Bulls get a look at Howard, and add a late first
Ayo/Ball/Carter
#7 pick/Anthony/Huerter
Matas/Giddy/Huerter/Phillips
PWill/Giddy/Howard/Phillips
JSmith/Collins
Not sure what we do with Vuc, plus the #25 pick

Re: Orl-Chi
You give the Bulls a very late FRP but there's no effort to clear up their guard glut, in fact you're making it worse.
Your depth chart shows the Bulls have no time to even look at Howard, he's fourth in line. Anthony is the same expiring as White. This year they're getting to look at an expiring Tre Jones who would be a veteran passing PG at a low cost to resign.
The Bulls have to get $20M back when the trade Vucevic, that's going to be somebody (or 2) who they have to keep, you're drafting a kid at #25 are you going to pay him to go to the G League?

Love it...let's go!
as far as the glut...Cole will be an expiring that could be extended or jettisoned. Jett Howard is big enough to play some SF...he hasn't really found a spot, but man does he have a nice shooting release. I think he'll be in the NBA for a decade as (at least) a solid role player and maybe more.

Maybe the Bulls can get a better pick, but it's the pick and Howard. Next season's total roster shouldn't matter-just having young talent and expirings. The real roster starts in June, 2026.
CWhite's value dropped a lot this year, since in July he's an expiring, and will want a (substantial?) raise. I just don't want both White and Giddy moving forward-either one should be a 6th man and I'd prefer we don't have both of them

Who cares about another guard? It's about getting assets, it doesn't matter if we have 30 guards as long as we're adding extra 1st round picks.
The roster is being rebuilt, the fit means nothing right now.

If this is White's price, the Mavs should go all in, sending their FRP this year (currently 17) + Hardy/Powell exp...with some SRP back...
I think the Magic should send their pick + Cole and keep Howard,

Maybe I'm wrong as I don't watch the Magic, but hasn't Howard been terrible? His numbers look terrible. I know he's 21 but I'd hope there's more value for Coby than that and the 25th pick.

theres a lot of one way combo guards 6 mans in the trade market and Coby will be an expiring/pending UFA. i dont think you would get more than expiring and late 1st.

Re: Orl-Chi
For ORL...I'd rather chase Simons or Sexton, but would be happy with Coby too...I just think those guys have been proving it longer. Coby's career track record was pretty invisible until last season. I think highly of him, but I'd say that Simons is most likely to shoot high volume/high % forever...remember, ORL is where shooters go to forget how to shoot.
I was hoping Weltman would have all 3 on the line and just grab the guy that is available for the package you want to send out. Generally, one frp (preferably DEN 25), Cole Anthony (one more year) and expirings, if needed to salary match. I'd include Jett in a package for any of the 3 as well because he's got guaranteed money and there's just not enough PT for him with the incoming guy and every guaranteed $ will matter soon for ORL.

Re: Orl-Chi
I think Orlando has their sights on a bigger acquisition.
Coby doesn’t start for this Orlando team and is up for a pricey extension. Orlando is going from one of the lowest payroll in the league to top-5 expensive when factoring in Paolos max.
White is probably looking for a place to start and if he’s not he’s looking for starter money (in which I don’t blame him).
I think Reaves makes a lot more sense.
Lastly, Bulls are kinda operating from a position of weakness.
They have Coby, Giddey AND Jones all up for extensions, Ball just recently resigned and still have Carter, Dosunmu signed. Decisions will have to be made and quickly.

White is worth more than this, and please don’t send him to Orlando.

As a Bulls fan, I would jump on that Mavs deal in an instant.

Is Jett Howard needed for salary matching? If not, I'd want a couple of seconds instead.

But what would magic give up for a guy like reaves? Franz? I think reaves could be available, if luka and lebron stays

I don't know how the Lakers' front office works, but I believe they look out for their guys. Reaves is a fan favorite who took a discount to extend there and I don't think they'll move him without an overpayment. However, I think they could have Knecht for a FRP.
