Being ranked roughly 19th earlier defensively isn't a trailblazing statistic. I love your optimism, but that's not how it general turns out. I know they'll get better. They're just not going to get better this season.
We ranked higher than 19th , I recall 11th or 10th at one point. All without Mitch. So I dont think its "optimism" to expect us to return to that with Mitch , OG and players having an additional 25 + games of familiarity.

This guy has historically made up a lot of ****. In terms of baseball reporting.

Mitch factor in theory is a much bigger factor for Thibs system than many think

Team villain right now as we were right about our predictions about this team not being a contender
I don't see a team, I just see one member, and you're all alone.

Jrue is already declining, once they lose their shooting bigs, they'll be easier to defend. The financial impact of them being together is going to make things difficult, they're a 2nd apron team right now and the longer you're in that apron the harder it is to build/keep a team together. They're going to be nearly a quarter billion in salary next season, and the luxury tax bill will take them close to half a billion for that roster, their funeral is around the corner.
Like I said though, they almost made it to the finals with Rozier who's 10x worse. You don't need elite talent around them to win. You can put average players around them and they'll figure out a way to get back to the ECF at the very least like they do every year.
They did that before the 2nd apron was a thing, Rozier was on a value/rookie deal when they did that, they won't be able to get those kinds of players now. Their reign at the top was short like Leprechuans.
Two super max deals on 1 team is what the new CBA is going after and why you've already heard reports of the Celtics potentially shopping Brown. JA Wick is being floated as a potential player on the move, Luka got moved cause the Mavs didn't want to hand out 1 of those. It's a new NBA.
