Also, weird that there isn’t a single LeBron season mentioned considering how much praise he gets on here.

Honest I think the list would be alot of Harden and Lebron seasons lol. But both are super polarizing so I guess that's why. Duncan was robbed a couple times too.

09 Wade is an excellent season.

I think ironically, since his actual 2 MVPs were so (likely incorrectly) controversial, 2007 was probably Nash's best season.

Didn't read the whole thread but MJ 93', MJ 97', Shaq 01', Kobe 09' should all be in the conversation

Is 2001 Shaq really better than 2001 Duncan in the RS?

Unrelated to your question, both are pretty natural choices for the list of top non MVP seasons

64 Wilt, 69 Russell, 01 Duncan, 93 Hakeem, 73 Kareem, 94 Robinson,
16/17 Lebron, 03 KG, 77 Walton, 17 Steph
89/90 Jordan, 88 Magic,15/18 Lebron, 78/79 Kareem

1990 Jordan. Led the league in scoring (33.6 PPG) and steals (2.8). Also averaged 6.9 RPG and 6.3 APG. Shot 53% from the field, 38% from the arc and 85% from the line. Played all 82 games. Led the Bulls to a franchise best 55-27 record. Finished 3rd in MVP voting behind Magic and Barkley

14 Bron should be on this list. Still clearly the best player in the league even increased efficiency/ offensive skill over his 13 season which showed over the playoffs.

A lot of us Bron fans think that 14 Bron > 13 Bron in terms of capability. He obviously tuned down the defense a bit during the regular season though.

KD was unbelievable but main reason he won is Westbrook got injured and he was able to put up a lot of volume stats and he played 81 games (which matters).

It’s a lot like SGA this year vs Jokic. It won’t be wrong that SGA is going to win (he’s having an unreal season) but Jokic is clearly the best player having an amazing season.
