I appreciate the updates on all our prospects. If you get your hands on him doing something positive off the dribble, or even beating his man off the dribble I'd love to see it. This is the evidence of progress I want to see.

He's gonna miss and make shots. He's gonna rebound. He's gonna struggle with assist totals. I just want to see him make better decisions and do better things with the ball in his hands.

The boxscore tells me nothing about his floor game. I guess I could watch GB Swarm games, but why? I just watch Hornets games when our bench comes in. Lately it's been KJ, Wong, Jeffries the journeyman.

Keep the updates coming.

I watched the first couple of minutes as I couldn’t sleep and he had a good drive and score first up.

He also attempted a ridiculous pull up 3. Makes me think the coach has given him the same rules as lamelo.

I dunno how I feel about being told I need to wait for months of development for our 6th overall pick to perform half as well as Bronny James in the g league. That’s probably not a good sign

Wow. Appears I'm not alone. An additional gift/curse courtesy of the Internet. You're welcome. Now back to the regularly scheduled Salaun bashing...

last night in the nba:
Bronny James finished the loss with 0 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 0/5 from the field in 15 minutes of playing time.

the way the gleague works is that guards are the leading scorers because they either have the ball in their hands (brandonwilliams, jddavidson) or refuse to pass (bryce mcgowens) (btw isaiahwong is #8 scorer in gleague) (ps isaiahthomas put up 40 pts in his return to the gleague last night). the gleague exists for the sole purpose of showcasing individuals desperate to get promoted to the nba. stretch 4s like Salon rely on ball hogs like kjsimpson to get him the ball. this is why kjsimpson is always going to look great in the gleague while being too small to stick in the nba. two-way players like Salon have to wait until their gleague coach decides to feature them for a game which inevitably leads to a 30 pt game so the parent team can say see he belongs in the nba. again, it is all about who has the ball in their hands. this is why comparing Salon to Bronny in the gleague is moot and simply amounts to moaning

there may be legit reasons to complain about Salon, his performance relative to Bronny in the gleague isn't one of them

i was the first one to say "let see the reaction when hes putting up mediocre g league stats because hes not a pg or iso scorer" so none of this is surprising or needing explanation to me. its still pitiful that he can't hit the shots he is getting, and i posted comps to other guys that aren't pgs or iso players like Kai, Nick, Mark, Vernon Carey.

nobody is expecting Salaun to dominate the G League at 30ppg, because he isnt good enough to do that anyway but he should be able to hit some low pressure wide open 3s. he should be able to get more than 1.3 FTA per game with his size and motor. he should be able to get, i dunno, a singular block in 3 games against a league of a bunch of undersized iso heavy guards as you describe. these aren't some unreasonable bars for performance lol

Had 23 pts tonight in GLeague for those folks saying that matters.

Glad to see he hit some 3s at least. That’s the bare minimum expectation, scoring even inefficiently is better what he’s been doing

Tidjane was inactive for the Swarm tonight, not sure what the deal is. Don't see him listed as having an injury anywhere.

Salian had a couple of key RBs, hit that big 3 and didn't back down from Wemby on D. Also, a couple of klutz moves but it's not smart to write him off yet.

Not trying to kill the good vibes but just in constant awe of how low his feel is. He has a miss that you’ve never seen from any NBA player, like every single game. He’s so far away from even baseline level of NBA skill and feel, it’s shocking

i swear he's actually regressing as the season goes on, and the starting point was really really really low
