It’s all right there in front of you? Tramadol. Not anything recreational.

That wasn't posted yet or was being done so as the same time as me.

Wonder if this factored into him not being traded? I know the MLB process better but in that system there is usually a multi week back and forth, appeals and legal stuff before it comes out publicly. So it could've been a known issue the last few weeks

For Tramadol? Seriously?! Amazing. Can he appeal?

25 games for Tramadol does seem a bit much. Doesn’t seem like an appeal is in play, though. I think that would’ve been a part of the statement.

No. Braun knowingly took steroids, lied about it, threw the tester under the bus and only admitted it after a full investigation by MLB.

If so, I wish we could’ve started his suspension right when they found this all out. I’m sure we will get more details in the coming hours/days.

Tramadol's an opioid but isn't listed in the CBA with the rest of the opioids in the "Drugs of Abuse" category (or anywhere else, consistent with what Bartelstein said about it being added more recently). Reading some stuff about how Tramadol is considered by many athletes to be a performance enhancer, though, and this punishment is consistent with the SPED category, which is 25 games for a first offense (drug of abuse first offense just means entering the treatment program).

Like, I get enforcement of policies and letter of the law, but what are we really doing here? Absolutely no shot that the league hasn't overlooked far more questionable substances than painkillers for better players.

If it's just because it's an opioid, then it's weird that the league is standing on trying to cut down on the opioid crisis more than any government or medical entity.

Seems like just another opportunity to punish a small market team that's had extended success.

It’s already widely being reported that this isn’t a PED thing. Mixed up pain medications with very similar names.

Took me about 10 seconds to look up that it's been proven that Tramadol can be utilized as a performance enchanting drug, look like the cases/studies are primarily related to cycling though.

If Bobby was trying to get high he'd be taking way better pain meds. The fact he has a script for Toradol and took a Tramadol... The NBA is just so insane right now, literally the worst leadership of any sports league. And tramadol was only banned last Spring, you could still get it OTC in Canada not long ago. This is just so idiotic.

I would not pick up another big. We already have too many. If anything, cut the apparently useless ones (for this season) at the end of the roster - Livingston, Smith. Replace them w/ a wing (too bad the Cavs already stole Javonte Green).

Then play Sims in the non Brook or Giannis lineups. He had a # of wildly positive net ratings w/ NYK when not playing w/ another guy who couldn't shoot in Hart. 4 out, 1 in. Have KPJ create. Do a bench mob thing. And same for back-to-backs.

We have an open roster spot and get another 6 games into the suspension. May as well bring in a Mo Bamba or PBJ

So does the replacement spot work like a 10-day? Or in this case, a 50-day contract?

Feel bad for Bobby. Seems like a pretty plausible F-up. Can he appeal and get this reduced?

Seems like total BS that a guy like Bobby with no history or drug issues gets 25 games yet Draymond or CP3 regularly try to maim guys or end careers and get slapped on the wrist.
