A gimpy 21yo Mark Williams doesn’t have anywhere near that kind of juice.

Also, Head Coach at UConn is a lot different than C for ‘25 Hornets. Contending & catching lobs from 2 of the best passers in NBA history is a dream.

He’s been chronically injured for his short career.

Bobby Portis out 25 games for using PEDs. I guess they got Kuzma just in time.

Portis' agent said it was Tramadol, which is a pain killer, and Portis accidentally took it.

Wow the Wemby news is insane. Scary stuff.

Hope he is OK and that it is just an isolated issue.

These things are why you always need to be pushing to be ready as a team. You never know what will happen around the league for your window to open. Not saying either of these (Portis and Wemby) matter to us specifically, but anything can happen and open up the contention window.

Yeah...really hope he's okay. That can be serious stuff.

I also see good reasons to have him sit it out. 1)why take a chance? 2) Lotto time

Wemby news is scary. There was always going to be health worries with him because his style and body type, but blood clots when you are a pinnacle health 21 year old is super rare. The doctors said it was a one off, but after the Chris Bosh thing, I still worry for the kid.

When you hear Victor injury you expect some lower body, foot, knee type injury. But blood trombosis? :o

Scariest part about him and Ausar is fact that if they aren't pro players they could literally drop dead at age of 20-21 without even having clue what's going on.

We can probably expect Fox to be sat for the season soon for "rest".

*I'm not questioning Wemby injury at all...just saying SAS has seen enough to refocus their efforts on the lottery. Their front office may not require 3+ seasons of "analysis" before they get decisive.

The way things are going, they will have two lottery picks, own and Hawks unprotected pick.
In 2026 they can swap pick with Hawks.
In 2027 they have unprotected pick from Hawks.
In 2028 they have pick swap with Celtics.
In 2030 they get most favorable pick swap between Dallas and Wolves
In 2031 they have right to swap pick with Kings

In conclusion, nba is screwed. They just need Victor to get through this and they are set for contending.

On other side of this, Hawks are unhappy Trae Young away from being Wizards.

What I loved about this sad story is that this was caught because Wembanyama was honest with his trainers AND that the response was a heavy, immediate investment from the Spurs to find the problem. Now: right now.

Well done to him and the team.

Obviously a person on high-dose blood thinners is not going to engage in any contact activities. But, sounds like he'll be fine.

Fultz played solid. Looks like his knee was good.

76ers now have 46% of keeping pick ( and drafting top 6).
Their first round pick will go to OKC if it falls outside top 6

people like to post the off nights for Simons...

last night, in a win, he went 5-10 from 3 for 25 with a +30...

I spoke to a friend who coaches in ORL Pro-Am and has been around Simons since he was a teenager beating up on grown men. He thinks Simons is for real and a good dude. He doesn't understand why Simons wasn't a target either.
