That is some wild spin control there when comparing toradol to tramadol. Not sure if a single use will show up on a test, so this might be a case of usage during a prolong period. It was recently banned, but Bobby or his agent or his sports doctor or the team doctor should have put this on their radar ASAP. Tough break if this was indeed an honest mistake, which very well could be. I know people who still pain killers years after being prescribed it.

I don’t even understand why it’s banned by the league. A player should be able to take pain meds imo :dontknow:

The guan0 curse strikes again folks. Another potential all time great being hit with the nasty guan0 curse. First Zion, then Luka and now Wemby :nonono: they should be suing you!

Spoiler:
jokes aside hopefully wemby’s blood clot isn’t life threatening and he can get back hooping

Seriously bummed about this one. Always had concerns about his height fcking up his feet. But this one is actually serious. And selfishly I loved watching him hoop. Just sucks.

Yeah, it's classified as a narcotic. It can very well be a mistake, but you gotta know what you're putting into your body. And I'm sure the league isn't sending these memos to go straight to the SPAM folder. Team officials should be ringing the bells, too. Could be a case where Portis just didn't bother to do his own due diligent, or he is taking it as a substance.

If it’s just an isolated blood clot and doesn’t spread he should be fine. Ingram had one in his shoulder too a couple years ago. Hopefully it’s just a one time thing. Def would suck to see his career be over. He is a generational player that we’ll likely never see ever again in our life time.

Really hope this is a 1 time thing for him. Like others here have mentioned not only is his game unique but off the court he is different, too.

He is just built different. The game needs him.

Remember the Olympics when Wemby was looking on in tears when his predecessors (Bron, Steph, KD) beat his team in the gold medal game? We need to see that play out.

On some selfish sht i loved watching him hoop. To the point I was rooting for a team with cp3 on it. They were my go to Westcoast late night team. Now I'm stuck with geriatric steph, or luka sweating out mayo/alcohol on the court. I'm down bad right now. Inconsolable.

This is only tangentially related, but it's wild to me every time I remember there are quite a lot of people who can't visualize when reading books

Like, I've always been able to do that, and I don't know if it's a chicken or egg thing, cause I read a lot of books growing up, and I go in and out of reading phases now

Cause my dad can't do it, but I don't know if that's cause he was never read to growing up and never got into the habit, or if he could just never do it and as such had no interest in reading.

Right. My questions are:

1) How did he obtain that medication in the first place?

2) Why would he ingest -any- medication without looking it up? The league literally has an app that players can use to ensure that they're not taking anything banned.

I mean, I tend to chalk things up to incompetence before malice, so most likely BP did something dumb, but it looks crazy regardless

Two things I was shocked to learn:

1) not everyone can "hear" their thoughts

2) people can't visualize what they're reading.

That's honestly frightening to me.

On another note, I also "see"colors when I listen to music. Some songs sound red. Some green. It's kinda cool

Feels bad man.

Dudes beat women and stay healthy and what not. The kid who is chill, plays chess, reads books before games ends up with career threatening clots. Make it make sense.
