In hindsight, he probably wishes he waited until the off-season to demand a trade, lol. But I hope nothing's serious w Wemby. Just a huge blow to the whole league

I hope it is a one time thing. We do not need to lose Wemby.

Kinda reminds me of when Ralph Sampson went down. That was a bit before my time, but he was another 7'4" big who played like a guard. Fell hard on his hip and that was the end of it. His 3rd or 4th year in the league.....so sad.

His issue is likely not the same as Bosh. Its a good chance that he has a issue with his shoulder which thus cause a clot as one of the side effect, and even that it can be variety of possible shoulder issue that can cause his problem. Something that can be fix with surgery. Not knowing the exact cause, the risk is unknown.

I'm sorry but that is pretty much 100% what this season was, on steroids, till the trade deadline.

We can change it from here out but that is what we are looking at right now.

De'aaron Fox can't be upset too much, if he hadn't demanded a trade he'd be in 10th spot in the West looking at the fringe lotto help for next year, instead he'll probably be looking at a young and stacked team with a DPOY/MVP level 21 year old, this years ROY, a 40% chance at a top 4 pick and possibly, Cooper Flagg, a supporting cast of young wings and a treasure chest of future picks and potential.

Either way this year was likely to end fishing in April or shortly after.

SAS most likely get Flagg or another top 4 guy. Id almost say its a given.

If Giannis becomes available, have to assume SAS will put a massive offer on the table involving a treasure trove of picks and Castle.

Big three of Wemby, Fox, n Giannis would mean game over for the league

Trae and KD this summer without a doubt, the other 3 by the 2026 offseason by the latest.

Idk if I'd say UD hates Jimmy, at least not solely based on that list. Which one of those champions would you put Jimmy ahead of? Only two even up for debate are Zo and Shaq, but I don't think either are much of a debate.

Wemby is as likable as it gets, for a Frenchie. Dude just wants to focus on ball and do whatever it takes to get better. Hope he's ok.

My order would be:
Wade
LeBron
Zo
Jimmy
Bosh
...
OLI: Shaq/Timmy

(I debated between LeBron and Zo, because the longevity and the embodiment of heat culture, etc should count, but 4 straight Finals perhaps outweigh them. Ok, Bosh was on 4 straight Finals, but as a distant 3rd wheel)

Yeah the shooting + durability is a concern, but he's only 25 and hasn't suffered any serious lower-body injuries (which is where the main risk lies for a player like him). IMO, he's right up there in terms of talent as Ant, and due to the risks you highlighted (which are 100% valid) he will probably be more attainable for us.

Ja is tricky because he plays an immensely physical paint game (reminiscent of Wade in that regard) but has a frail frame and those falls add up

Also, I'm not sure how well someone with a propensity for guns, alcohol, and strip clubs would do in Miami...

Ja, Trae, Luka aren’t Heat sort of players.

Couldn’t imagine our organisation wld want anything to do w/ somebody of Morant’s character w/his history & controversies.

Trae, like the other 2 has his own character issues. There’s been reports there’s disconnect between him & his teammates. A bad locker room guy & fails to lead. Reports other players don’t want to play w/ him making recruiting hard. This shows in gm’s as his a losing sort of player who numbers really hasn’t amounted to winning. Don’t see us giving up our assets/youngens for somebody of his character. Unless he comes significantly discounted is the only way i see us entertain the notion of acquiring a player like young.

Doubt Pat wld ever take on a player like Luka who evidently has issues w/ health, diet & commitment. Mavs dumped him for pocket lint - that let’s you know how much value they put in him . Although Luka is just 25yo he has played professionally for a long time. He has been in battles in high level competitions frm a young age. He signed a 5yr contract with Real Madrid at age 13. If he continues to fail looking after his body/health, these mounting injuries will take a toll on his body & eventually career. You can see his health deteriorating currently. Same guy who stated publicly he has played a lot of basketball & that it is hard for him to play both ends of the floor. Heat material to you? Don’t think so.
