This is what I noticed throughout the game. The offense and sets (and lineups) will look strange for a bit, but there were lineups out there where they literally switched 1-4 and held their own and made it tough, against a good team with quality guys like Kawhi, Harden and Bogdanovic on the perimeter.

Giannis is the ultimate leader. He willed the team back into the game.

I think Dame is increasingly trying to do the Dame Time type thing by over relying on 3 pointer success. So when his 3 point s do not fall, his offense is hugely nullified. I don’t understand why he doesn’t use his considerable skills to penetrate and make 2 poointers with the high likelihood of getting fouled and getting to the free throw line where he is incredible.

Given that his defense is a huge problem for the Bucks, the above suggested change should really hugely help the Bucks. In fact Doc should ask him to do this.

Considering the amount of sh*t Horst took at the deadline, Kuz, KPJ, and Sims all look like legitimate rotation pieces. We've been clamoring for foot speed and athleticism and we now have more of it. I hope Doc gives Sims a real shot in Bobby's absence. Sims defended his a** off last night. Thought the team defense, save for a few lapses, and the always infuriating tough shot making from Bogdon, was outstanding. Ty Lue and the Clippers had a real nice game plan against Dame, starting with Kris Dunn picking him up full court. Gave him all sorts of fits. Fun comeback. Great start to the second half.

Kris Dunn might legitimately be the best "point-of-attack" defender in the league right now. Not exactly a surprise that a slightly hampered Dame had a rough efficiency night (and yet he still came through when it mattered most). Equally not surprising that the usual suspects would use that to bludgeon their narratives home.

Oh and Brook is still **** awesome. Recall saying it a couple years ago, but distinctly remember alluding to the idea that Brook was gonna actually be harder than Khris to "replace", and this is why you just gotta ride those wheels until they completely fall off. If they're not already talking terms on a 2-year extension to finish out his career here, then they better start now.

When the usual suspects repeatedly pined for adding Kris Dunn, they were told he sucks.

No, that's his responsibility to beat tough match-ups, cuz it's what he'll have to do in the playoffs, he's one of our offensive core players, and to boot he usually doesn't play defense himself.

You confusing people saying they wouldn't give up assets to trade for him with "he sucks"?

A couple 2nd round picks for a player who can eliminate a $48.7 million player who's entire value is offense? That's wasting assets?

Kuzma KPJ and even Simms have their warts but they also have exactly what this team has desperatly needed since the dame trade.

Size, speed and athleticism.

Last night the Clippers pressured Lillard full court. He was expending considerable energy just advancing the ball. He, and the Bucks overall, struggled to initiate effective offense. In the 4th quarter, until the Clippers were in an intentional foul situation, the Bucks had Kuzma bring the ball up, alleviating the pressure and giving the offense more time to operate.

Lue's pressure strategy was effective most of the game. For most of the game,, the Bucks 2 stars were only getting about half the shot attempts that Harden and Leonard were getting.

At what point could we have acquired and then retained Dunn on the deal the Clippers gave him (3-yrs $15 million) when we were over the 2nd apron? Or are you seriously suggesting that we should have dumped useful players (salary) plus some assets just to sign Kris Dunn?

Just went on bball index...

Kris Dunn has the highest defensive lebron rating out of all the POA defenders in the league. His offense, however, is atrocious.

Its also worth noting that this is by far his best defensive season by that metric out of the last four seasons and two of them were not good

Listening to Justin Garcia on the Bucks post game radio show after the game last night was different. In multiple segments he sounded more like part of the coaching staff than a media member.

He talked about advice he gave Portis on how to deal with his suspension.

He said that Portis is a key voice at practice, generating energy for the entire team, and that with Portis' recent absences, he (Garcia) has filled that void.

He said that Sims told him that he was a 1-5 defender, so Garcia shouted to the team what Sims had said and told them to challenge Sims and attack him.

He talked a lot about the Portis suspension, that the failed drug test occurred last fall, and that Rivers said that the team could not appeal, because that would be "too risky". He said that Rivers didn't want to go into too many specific details, implying that he (Garcia) didn't want to go there and provide too much information. Super vague.

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Don't know if we went over this in the GT, but Giannis absolutely relishes playing Kawhi, and Kawhi absolutely hates playing Giannis.

Favorite play of the game: Dame helps on the roll and gets the steal, passes ahead to Kuzma who deploys the truck stick on Harden.
