Funny how Bud & Frank Vogel are the problem, but people are fogetting their teams won a title in 2020 & 2023. The problem is Suns roster with the way it’s constructed. Cant blame great coaches when they win with other teams but lose with Phoenix.

Beal is the scapegoat because fans don't want to blame KD or Book because they usually shoot well. That matters, but the rest of their game is lazy, unfocused horse ****. An epedemic of turnovers, terrible rebounding, etc. Beal got 9 rebunds today and he's a foot shorter than KD.

The problem isn't Beal, despite him being an imperfect fit. It's KD and Book.

Most here probably know, I was never a believer in Booker. I always saw him as being coddled and mentioned as better than Nash and Barkley as a suns player, but far from it. He was always a glorified Kevin Martin in my book, who was good looking and had a pretty jump shot so he got popular. But I absolutely cringe at the though Booker being better than Nash as Suns GOAT player. Such BS.

The 2021 Finals run was as much on CP3, Ayton and the twins, yet fans credited Booker a lot more than he should have.

Well, its finally time.. Booker had his chance to prove me wrong and failed. Suns need to get out of this awful era ASAP.

Ishiba is a fool if he holds on. Imagine a terrible depressing hopeless Suns decade 2 years into the new stadium... Fans have nothing to look forward to.

Rebuild now and salvage the next 5-6 years.

Nah. Book was legit before KD. He was firey, talked **** to everybody. He had drive. He playmakes and creates offense at an elite level, and he improved his D to be average. That was under CP3's leadership. Book was not this unfocused and checked out before KD. He has been much close to James Harden than he has Kevin Martin. If we had CP3 still instead of KD, Book would be better right now. There's a reasn all these stars want to play with him. But he has changed since KD arrived and it's awful.

Booker before KD was a very good scorer that has ideal set of shooting talent inside the arc.

If people here recall I've often called him the worst shooting 'sharp shooter' from long range I've seen. As in he shoots 35% from 3pt and people think thats elite.... it's hardly JR Smith level. Yes, he can hit, yes he can get on fire from there, yes he can hit them during clutch.... but it's not his specialty. He's a mid range shooter that lacks athleticism to finish at the rim against good defenders.

The thing is... even from mid range, SGA surpassed him with 2 years of focusing in that area. SGA is what a lot of Suns fans though Booker is or was. Well SGA is showing what a true star guard do.... can get to the rim, gets his team mates involved, can shoot the mid at elite efficiency, occasionally shoots the 3... but always elite when carrying the team.

Anthony Edwards also surpassed Booker last playoff series. Booker is diminishing asset that Suns need to cash out on while many still perceive him as an elite offensive player.

And don't get me started with his Harden role... Harden was a winning play-making SG... assists was high but it helped the team....

Bud is AZ laid back. Perhaps he tailors his press conferences and is a little more forceful in the locker room… but he just seems beat down rather than pissed off at his pressers. He has to see the dysfunctional challenges the Wishbia gang created. May be he’s the one who asks out. This is no longer his dream job as advertised.

What is the contract situation on BolBol. Can we give him a raise and keep him? I don’t think we have Bird Rights.

Bol Bol is under early bird rights. Suns can sign him for the league average salary next year. Something like $13M per season.

What's annoying me the most: there were bad times before, but I always had pieces in the team I'd like to watch, which I turned the game on for. This team has maybe Dunn and a bit of Bol Bol because he is goofy. Other than that there is not one single player I would root for.

And Book doesn't touch KD or CP3 neither. Both have been better than him on the Suns even at their old age.

All in all what I want to say is that I consider Book better than Kevin Martin but I think Suns fans (me included) have overrated him as a player because we expected and hoped that he would have grown as a overall player a bit more but it seems that he peaked already a couple years ago.

Around three years ago IIRC I created a thread saying that he was already in the conversation for 3rd best player in the history of the Suns. The only two clearly above him were Nash and Barkley but he was already putting himself on a position to fight for Best Suns Ever but no way I thought that he was the best at that point or now.

Now in 2025 I can say that he has not improved his game at all and he is basically the same player but slightly worse. He is very good yet, no doubt about it, but his defense and his overall playing have regressed a bit so I would say that probably his best years are behind him.

His biggest red flag IMO is lacking intangibles. He doesn't make small winning plays and I I thought he was going to improve in that area but unfortunately it hasn't happened.

I would like to trade him in the summer BUT only if the package for him is really good.
