PG is indeed washed lol.

But I don't think anybody was ready to trade 4 unprotected firsts, an unprotected pick swap and a protected first for either of them. Value for value, it was one of the worst trades in the last 10 to 20 years.

Not even close to the worst trade. You have to factor in his low salary, we didn’t give up any rotation player and most of the picks aren’t even that good. This isn’t even a serious conversation to say it’s the worst trade in 20 years…..not even the worst trade in the past month

I think it has the potential to be the worst trade since the SGA trade and the Billy King trade. I was not factoring in the Luka trade, it still hasn't fully registered with me lol.

4 unprotected first-round picks, an unprotected pick swap and a protected first to a crosstown rival for a player who barely makes a difference for your team? It's terrible value, sorry. I don't think a lesser player has ever been traded for this much draft capital. The only precedent I can think of is a washed Pierce and Garnett.

The only thing that would vindicate the trade would be a run to the NBA Finals. But a run to the Finals would likely be driven by Brunson and/or KAT, not by Mikal. But if he does make a positive contribution in a run to the Finals, then yes, I think the trade will have been worth it, even if he's never worth that price tag.

The NBA is highly unpredictable with injuries, locker room tensions, trades etc. I don't take it for granted that we'll be good in two years, let alone in 2029 or 2031.

He was terrible but I cut him some slack since he’s working back from the injury and was questionable to even play

Sixers, Hawks, Rockets, all beat the Cavs.... so we know they're not invincible.

We beat the Sixers, Hawks, Rockets, but we can't even stay within 30 points of the Cavs?

Coaching matters.

I just want to see them put up a fight. There has been absolutely zero pride shown by this team against elite competition. It’s disheartening to see. Mitch, OG and Hart doesn’t change that. It’s a coaching problem. It’s also mentality problem. This team lacks heart.

Mitch OG and Hart changes A LOT of that man...this team will hit its stride rite before the playoffs and will be just fine

Yah, no.

Goodluck with Mitch staying healthy for a playoff run.

Their perimeter defense was dead last with a healthy Hart and OG.

Need to stop deluding ourselves.

He is making a difference. Just need to watch the game. EPM isn't a good indicator. The finals MVP has a 0.6 EPM.

Don't worry guys this is Thibs master plan. Go 0-8 against the Cavs and Celtics during the season so they get overconfident. Bring in a healthy Mitch in the playoffs and whip those a$$es. Thibs always has all the right ideas.

Shoulda just gone to work

Pac can play, kid's spacing IQ/ awareness on offense is off the charts considering his age... he's not super eager to demand the ball, but positions himself to get the ball even if it means initially going away from the ball/ to the other side because he knows spacing allows the whole team to break down the defense more effectively and efficiently... and because he's not desperate/ super eager to get the ball, teammates trust to pass to him (the hungry don't get fed), counter intuitive stuff

Since the Nets game, I think Huk has regressed a bit, confidence must have taken down a tumble because of all the DNPs

0 minutes for Kolek in a nationally televised game we knew we'd never win. Awesome leadership.
