The Nets are IIRC a really good defensive team.

which against our offense may make them look like the Bad Boy Pistons

I dont know what we’re doing.

So we’re really trying hard to win huh?

Sixers season ticket holders deserve a refund more than Mavericks season ticket holders.

It’s funny how we kept saying, “We need a plethora of wings,” and now that we have them, our defense has dropped off.

like....if tanking isn't what they are going for...

you gotta fire someone ,no? Just got bodied by a "rival" and then come out flat against the Nets lol.

i mean at this rate, the league may investigate us for making it too obvious lol...thats how bad it is right now

The Nets shouldn’t send help on Embiid that early. But hey, maybe they’re trying hard to lose—it just doesn’t look like it because we’re just that bad.

Our defense has always been a 1-man defense. Now that Embiid's mobility is gone, our defense is gone along with it.

If he doesn't regain his mobility we're in for a long 4 years.

As a consolation for this loss, my fellow Cam Thomas fan club members should drop by this thread and make it a fun discussion.

Embiid going half speed of his already half speed. He looks so slow. Meanwhile Paul George continues to coast and never reveal the extra gear he clearly still has.

Yeah, and it’s weird. There are plenty of times when Embiid is in position to grab the rebound or contest a shot, and his teammates expect him to go up—but he just stands there, watching, as if he’s waiting for them to do it instead. Then, other times, he’ll suddenly jump for the ball and contest shots. It’s really confusing.

Getting completely outclassed by the Nets from the jump should already tell you what needs to change. This franchise has probably handed us half of our first-round victories—without them, we wouldn’t have made it to the second round half the time.

Lowkey issue: Yabu and Embiid don’t look great together on the floor. Yabu seems like a better fit alongside a high-energy, athletic, and lengthy big like Nic Claxton.

it works better without Oubre.. Yabu played well in the dunker spot role next to Biid one of the games semi recently imo.

defensively is the real issue especially with Biid missing two steps lol.

I also think Yabu in general has hit a wall thanks to overuse earlier in the year too...probably also hurt because why not
