GAME #56: LAC (31-24) @ PACERS (31-23) — SUN, 2/23 2:00 PM
Law Murray doesn't even know what city he's in
Clippers are in Indy, with a b2b Monday in Detroit.

Hmmm. I knew he wouldn’t play b2b but thought he’d play against Indiana and sit against Detroit.

Leonard never misses just one game. Guessing he’s out until the Laker game a week from today.

No Norm and Kawhi, it will be an accomplishment if we can manage to score over 90 today.

Why play Harden 35 minutes on the front end of a b2b in a blowout loss.

Seemed like they missed almost every shot that could have helped build momentum.
I know that Jones and Dunn are solid defenders, but maybe a guy like Mills should have played more in a game like this with Kawhi and Powell out- needed somebody to knock down a shot.
Also, it would be nice if some day the Clippers run into a team with an off shooting night. Defense could have been better, but the Pacers hit some tough shots- some of which were quite lucky that bounced all around the rim- Halliburton and McConnell.

Especially if Leonard and Powell are out against Detroit. Simmons will be out too.
This team is dangerously close to being a play in team. They never learn.

Most think Kawhi is just sitting out the front end of a back to back, but if he doesn't play tomorrow he's officially injured again. I won't even be disappointed or lose sleep over it honestly. Ben Simmons is KPJ's replacement. He can run the point better, but its looking like a lateral move at best if Kawhi misses more time. We got Norm, Zu, Harden, DJJ, Coffey, Dunn, Bogi, etc. That's a good enough vet presence to mix in Cam Christie, Flowers, and MarJon Beauchamp into the 2nd-3rd unit. I don't see the need to play or have a roster spot dedicated to Eubanks and Patty Mills. I'd rather play Kobe or Kai Jones over Eubanks believe it not even though Kobe still is unsure of himself out there. Like you said this is a season defining road trip and its looking like a dud. Pistons might run us off the floor tomorrow.

No enough help outside of Harden and Zu. DJJ, Dunn and Bogi building great wall out there today.
One silver lining I noticed was Zu has been lights out at the foul line lately. Kawhi and Norm are both listed as GTD for tomorrow so we'll see.

What is up with Bogdan's 3 point shot this season? He has been a very good 3 point shooter throughout his career, but his % is way down this season. They really needed him to knock some down today but he went 1-8

He could be semi-washed. You know how we always get players that sound great on paper and standing next to the water cooler, but in reality nine times out of ten they're way past their expiration date.

possibly- but he isn't that old (32) and doesn't have much of an injury history

After losing to the Mavs last year in the playoffs
I told my self that I would not be emotionally invested going into this season. Paul George has come and gone , SGA has come and gone and Kawhi is like a trophy wife that doesn’t provide any substance to the relationship.
With this being said , it’s just seems like the Clippers have to grind and labor to score points and the opposing team just scores so easily.
Hoping this team can put together some wins. I checked the standings this morning and it looks like all the teams from 7th on down have been struggling and are a couple of games behind the Clippers.
Lakers just moved up to 4th. LeBron has been balling.

Detroit has won 6 in a row and are 8 and 2 in their last 10. They just put up 148 points against Atlanta on Sunday.
Doesn't look good for the Clippers tonight. Maybe a win against Chicago up next. But then two against the Lakers.

I didn't watch the game, but he's always been a really good 3PT shooter so if he's just missing plain good looks it is weird to me. It would be different if the shot variety changed such as taking more contested 3's because he's slower or if his volume dropped for the same reason. But he's just not making them, and yeah he's not that old.
We absolutely need him to be at least playable when Norm is out.

I think we can still be fun to watch in the playoffs if we're at full strength- for however long we last. The only saving grace has been that the Rockets are in a swoon too, we're still only 3-4 games behind them. I think we will at least turn it around from this current stretch, we won't end up as high as we were hoping for when we were playing well, but probably still well ahead of our expectations before the season started.
The loss to Milwaukee was even more rough after last night.
