The voice of a generation. Was he still doing stuff for MSG? I haven't really caught any pre/post game things this season.

Al was one of the best Knick announcers of all time. Guy had a classic broadcaster voice. RIP

RIP... I wasn't yet a Knick fan in the 90s, but I heard his voice when the Knicks came on TV

I know I haven't been around much lately, but just wanted to chime in about this. Very sad to hear. Such great memories from growing up watching him on MSG in the Ewing days. And he continued with great coverage well beyond that. Crazy how many olympics he covered too. Bruce Beck’s quick but emotional tribute to Al really got me:

His last game he called was during the Lin Season. He definitely looked ill over the years
