How many more games will the Toronto Raptors win?

Post#1 » by OhCanada » Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:05 pm

25 games left as of February 24th the Toronto Raptors record is 18-39. They have 10 home games and 15 road games left, 4 back to backs, 18 games against under .500 teams and 7 games against under .300 teams (which is crazy).

I think they win 10 games which is about .400 PCT a bit better than the teams current .316 PCT record.

16 wins.
Bulls will get less than 12.

Raptors, 10th against hawks. Easy win. Then heat. Easy win. Then cavs. Revenge

15, unless we rest players/suffer more injuries. And even then, we're still probably going to win more than 10 games. The schedule is hilariously easy. Like, we have SEVEN **** games just against Washington, Utah, and Charlotte left. And there are loads of other winnable games too (another eight games against the Bulls, Blazers, Wemby-less Spurs, and Nets). And then multiple games against struggling teams like the Sixers and Suns.

Given how easy the schedule is and how other teams actually try to tank, where as the Raptors try to win, the play in as actually not out of the cards :(

That's my estimate as well. With the exception of the next two games, every remaining game of the season looks winnable. 12 or 13 wins seems very possible. :(

Gut feeling a lot teams tanking and contending teams gonna rest their players, this team could conceivably win 20 games with a final record of 38-44, good enough for the final 4 play in spots :o

One can only hope but that won't be the case with this Raptors team, who have been greenlighted by the higher ups to go for the play in.

I mean, if Ingram returns sooner than expected then we're probably a play-in team.

I wouldn't be shocked if they won 20 games as crazy as that sounds.

If we played at full strength and went for it with our best rotation we would probably get into the playoffs. We're better than the Heat, Hawks, and Bulls. I would say we could even be considered comparable to the Magic.

We would get demolished by the Cavs but the Celtics could be an interesting first round match up for us. The Celtics aren't great and they might have injuries going into the playoffs.

Poeltl / Mogbo
Barnes / Boucher
Ingram / Dick / Walter
Barrett / Agbaji
IQ / Shead

This would give the Celtics a good run and might potentially get us into the 2nd round. Is that development from the playoffs worth the cost of a high lottery pick? I would reason to say that it absolutely isn't but a playoff run would raise the value of our assets like RJ, Poeltl, and other vets we still have like Boucher.

I'm not sure he's coming back this season, but if he is, he's going to have to shake off a lot of rust, as well as we'll have to see how he fits. So, I don't think it's a given that he will have an immediate impact on this team.
