Was listening to Ben Beecken and locked on Wolves. Ben said that since 1/1/25 we are 4th in offensive rebounding. This gets even better when you factor in that we had 18 offensive rebounds against the Rockets and that was not included in the stats he was reading. We may well be better than 4th since 2025 started.

Ben went on to say that we had a top 5 offense since 1/1/25 going into the Rockets game where we dropped 127 on great shooting splits.

On 2/1/25 Jaden recorded his first 20/10 game with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Obviously this milestone was not good enough for him, because one week later on 2/8/25 Jaden scored his first career 30 point game, and had 10 rebounds to record his first career 30/10 game.

MIN has the fifth easiest remaining schedule (although they often play down to their opposition, so maybe not a great thing?)

The six worst? PHX, SAC, DEN, MEM, LAC, LAL

They are also one of only three teams that has just 26 games left, so they should be better rested.

Lots of opportunity to climb the standings.

Going .500 will get us to 44 wins. We need at least 46, probably 47 to make the playoffs in the 6th seed. 47 means 16 and 10.

Also look how many back to backs we have coming up. We may have fewer games to play, but will be at rest disadvantages and be exhausted quite often. We have 5 games in February, 4 of them are back to backs. Then we get a one off game in early March followed by a back to back. That is 6 of our first 8 games post break. Then we wait 4 more games before we play our next back to back. Hopefully we rise to the occasion based on the stakes.

Leonard Miller was the lead scorer in the rising star tournament game. He shot 7 of 9 from the field and 7 of 7 inside the arc. His 7 rebounds were a team high, and his 14 points were a game high. If Miller wins game 2 he will play in the all star tournament.

The Wolves have played 35 in clutch games this season and are 15-20... 6th lowest percentage (42.9%) of the NBA only beat by Hornets (36.7%), NO (34.8%), Toronto ( 29.2%) Wizard (27.8%) and the Jazz ( 22.7%), all tanking or bad teams :(

Last night got to the clutch and was I believe loss 21. No team has lost as many clutch games. This team needs a coach who knows what to call and who to emphasize in the clutch.

I totally agree. Pretty simple for me. If we need 2 , prioritize Jaden or ANT attacking the rim or find Rudy under if open mismatch .

If need a 3,the hot guy or NAZ, Mike or DDV and ANT as the last option.

Ball carry by Mike (1.2TO in career...), not by ANT (way too many TO at clutch).

But that mean a coach able to explain this to our superstar player and make him accepting that he may not be all the times the final option....not Finch style obviously.

February 24th, 2025 Terrance Shannon Jr gets his first double, double. 17 points, 10 rebounds, in 28:58 with 7 of 10 from the floor and 3 of 3 from the line.

If Oklahoma City wins against Brooklyn and Atlanta, the Thunder will finish February with a 11-2 record....and the only losses will have come against your Minnesota Timberwolves.

Apparently before last night teams had lost 1552 straight games when trailing by 24 in the 4th.

Minnesota is 10-7 when Joe Ingles plays, but just 1-5 when he plays more than 6 minutes.

In Sunday's game, Naz Reid moved past Andrew Wiggins for the third most 3-pointers made in franchise history.

No team in NBA history has ever won a game before last night when the following is true.

1. Enter the 4th quarter down 20+
2. On the road
3. Playing a team with a .800 win percentage or better.

Wolves did something no team has ever done before. They did it without Randle, Rudy, DDV, only 14 minutes of Mike, and with Ant playing 5:18 in the 4th and overtime and playing on a bad leg.

Source flagrant howls.

Over the last five seasons, 59% of Julius Randle’s assists have been on 3-pointers. That’s the second-highest rate (trailing only that of Giannis Antetokounmpo) among 182 players with at least 500 total assists since the start of the 2020-21 season.
