At the end of his deal next year, Midds will have made $290 million in aggregate salary. Won a ring and ended up all over the Bucks leaderboards. Hell of a career, but yes, he knows he’s essentially done.

Not being part of the playoffs and going into the offseason healthy will be just what he needs. I'm guessing he plays 4 more years. Winning player, and some teams want those.

If Midds play four more years, what’s the over/under on regular season games he plays? He’s only played 112 of the 270 regular season games since the knee injury against the Bulls.

This stupid buyout rule for apron teams is such a buzzkill. We could get Khris back next season and bring him off the bench as our microwave guy. Kpj is the starting 2 in that situation.

Khris is likely somewhere in between the Phoenix Grant Hill, Spurs Boris Diaw, and Clippers Nic Batum role the rest of his career.

Could probably really help a contender in a limited role.

Whoever gets Middleton isn't doing it for the regular season.

If Middleton plays four more years, most of that will be at the YMCA not in the NBA

Khris would be so great for us in the Joe Ingles role. He could play another three to four years for us if we basically only use him as a situational bench player that plays a bigger role in the playoffs.

Not sure what kind of contract Khris will command in the coming years and whether or not we could afford him.

Yeah, just depends how much Khris wants to play. He has made like 3-4x what Ingles has made and Ingles was always a guy who had to fight to stay in a rotation while middleton was a borderline allstar. Will Midds want to be 15 min a night guy? Maybe if a good contender takes him. Despite 8 years in Utah, he played on 6 teams in like 5 countries in 3 continents. Midds might have stronger roots where he knows he can get bought out in 12 months and just be with family and friends.

Adding Toni Kukoc and Robert Horry to the list. Less versatile but better shooters.

Horry’s clutch play is a differentiator too in the comparison for any contender who doesn’t care about keeping Khris on ice for the regular season.

However unclear to what extent Middleton wants to continue playing in that role.

Khash has got his ring, bag and legacy secured.

Actually he may just know that he's done at the scale the Bucks required in the immediate window.

That quote is specifically regarding the playoffs & this year, not his future.

He says they had differing views on his rehab & he feels that he's in a better place for himself atm.

PB threw a ball 2x at fans, stupidly. I don’t think I appreciated that at the time. First time hit a woman who seemed uninvolved in the head. If she’s the one suing I think she’s got a case tbh.

What does it have to do w/ the Bucks, other than they have more $? They didn't do it. Take it up w/ petulant Pat.

There's a chance that the fan has ongoing problems. There's a greater chance that this is a transactional move in the great tradition of capitalist greed. Doesn't bother me a bit.
