Definitely not a hangover, and I missed parts of the 2nd half, but the Badgers actually left a bunch of points out there/missed some open shots and still curb-stomped Washington. Two possessions into the game and I was telling myself I'd be depressed if we lost or even had a close game with Washington. Holy crap, they suck.

Oregon does suck.

I mean Oregon is pretty easily a tournament team. They aren't great but they also aren't anywhere near being terrible

Right...Oregon beat 2 great teams in Bama and A&M at a neutral site. They beat Maryland, won at OSU.

This is just a great feeling. I never thought with Gard I'd be back to "[team we lost to with deceiving record/losses] is not that bad!" defense as I spent all of the old Gard days doing. It means we're back, baby.

Meh. I'll take the 'L' here mostly. Although I maintain that Oregon sucks contrary to the evidence. Still just a dreadful loss no matter how you view Oregon.

Lunardi put out a new bracketology today and its similar to the last with Wisconsin on the 3 line, but this time they're headed to Milwaukee with MSU as a 2 seed and headed to Cleveland. Florida is the 2 seed in that bracket with Houston as the 1 seed in that bracket

https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2025-march-madness-men-field-predictions

Here's where I think I basically come down, which is that there's 3 tiers of title contenders and Wisconsin is in the 3rd tier. The first tier is Auburn and Duke, the second tier is Houston, Alabama, Florida and maybe Tennessee. And the third tier is Wisconsin, Iowa State, Michigan State and Texas Tech. I think there's 5-6 teams you could throw in a 4th tier where if things break the right way they could make runs, but they're also flawed and could not make it past the first weekend.

Izzo bullies the refs into changing an and-1 and the whole vibe changes.

How was that on the floor? That call changed the momentum of the game completely because Izzo is a bully? Lame.

I hope we don't regret only having a 4 point lead here while the Spartans shoot like 30%.

Really questionable shot selection. Seems they’re playing to fast offensively.

Hopefully this is one of those second halves when Tonje goes nuclear. I'm a little worried about someone else from MSU (other than Akins) waking up.

Allowing a coast to coast layup with 3.9 seconds on the shot clock is **** embarrassing.

Both feet on the floor out of bounds, ref misses it ends up as a dunk
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”
