Really souring on KP. Always injured, soft, poor passer and rebounder, inconsistent effort, low bball iq. The things I dislike the most. Our record is better w/o him and we could use his salary on 1 or 2 solid players next season. Counting stats don't mean somebody is playing great or impacting the game in a positive way.

What made our team special last season, and potentially this one too (who knows til its all over) is that KP was our 4th or 5th best player. He is amazing if you have 3 or 4 guys playing better than him. If he is being relied upon to be top 2, thats when we struggle. KP as your 5th best player is a luxury no other team in the league can boast

KP gives us that post up option if our 3ball ain’t sinking. That lob threat and rim protection is just so valuable for us.

KP was terrible.
Jrue was horrible.
Walsh was trash.
Hauser was a no show.
Queta with his worst game of the season. He did nothing.

I've been giving Joe credit lately for coaching really well. This wasn't one of those games for him. He was badly outcoached.
Seems like every time Brown is out, Joe goes with KP and Al. That **** doesn't work against smaller lineups. We are too slow.
We got off to a slow start at the start of the game because of the double big. Same thing to start the 3rd quarter, where the game was decided.

In his last two games, Tatum has 14 assists and 10 TOs.

White and Pritchard were the only players that played well.

Was Craig hurt? He should have played in this game if he wasn't.

I would not overeact to KP's performance in this game.

We all saw how awful he was in Game 2 against Miami in the 1st rnd.

KP and the Cs bounced back after that.

KP played like someone whos sick or coming back from some bug.
Al and Jrue played like they are old
Not main reason why we lost but damn does refs.If you let one team play physical then let other play too.
Paytons got punched in the face and nothing. Walsh bleeds too.

I am not alarmed
Missing JB, Kornet, Craig
KP playing sick
Second night of B2B (while missing JB, KP, Kornet in the first game)
Had nothing in the fuel tank in the second half
While DET gave us their best punch (and I saw a lot of their games this season)

Al and Jrue should play better and I am sure they will find another gear or two comes playoff

10 of 12 sounds good to me

Now get everyone healthy and ready for the CAVS and DEN

I like it when players are hard on themselves and recognize when they played like poop. KP said he was terrible tonight. Expect a bounce-back.

we were due for a stinker. you can tell when the D starts eroding over a few games. another opponent shooting 50%+, that's not us.

let's face it we have trouble getting up to play against also-rans. i wish it wasn't the case but they are human, i given them credit for winning 7 in a row but it's tough. i also have trouble caring much so i can't blame them :)

The problem is the Cs are in danger of losing all 3.

Det, Cle, and Den could be the first 3-game losing streak of the season.

Detroit is this years Orlando.

Last night showed a young team at home with this game circled.

I have a feeling it's gonna be a great weekend starting Friday night :D

With all due respect to any JD or Scheierman fans. But neither has shown me any signs of being an NBA player. But in Baylor's case it is a shame because he is already 24 years old and our first rd pick. Not even talking about shooting issues, which should be his strength, but rather his inability to even find a way to get close on almost any shots he puts up. He look slow, small and Timid overall.

BB players in NYC would say "he is shook out there"

clearly saving their Torrey Craig powder for the big game Friday:)

I appreciated Walsh getting a chance. He didn't do much with it, though he TRIED TO dunk on the entire state of Michigan and I respect that. You also have to give a young guy some time to just be running around out there not accomplishing much and then hey -- give him another chance within the next week or so as well.

other than the Celtics losing by 20 and looking like ass doing it, my least favorite part of this game was Jalen Rose
had himself a night!

JD is not an NBA player. He'll be on a two way someplace next season.

Rico's issue IMO is a natural limitation: speed. He's slow as hell and that can't be coached unfortunately.

With that said, I'm going to hold off judgement until I see him get regular minutes on a nightly basis. He's a 1st rd pick who's going to make 2.6mil next season guaranteed. Joe will have to play him because of the team option in 27/28.

If he can be a Max Strus, then I'm good with that. Mehh defense, but won't hurt you with mistakes.

I've said this with Neems and Walsh, they just need to play on a consistent basis. I think if the small contracts survive if the team is sold guys like Rico, Neems, Walsh and hopefully Drew (if signed) will play much bigger roles next season.

JD seems hopelessly overmatched, especially defensively, at the NBA level.
Scheierman will be 25 in six months and he has at least looked good lately in the G. But at 24, the fact that he can’t be Christian Braun and play 12-15 minutes as a rookie is absolutely concerning.
Anton Watson, they drafted the kid and he’s not played yet.
Jordan Walsh, he should be running around like a maniac, using his length and hops, cutting back door to finish alleyoops but instead he just looks lost at the 3 point line and generally plays with the base-strength of a newborn deer.

The Tim Duncan Spurs window lasted for 20 years partly because of all the marginal successes with late picks (Patty Mills, Tiago Splitter, George Hill) and cheap acquisition of overlooked role players (Matt Bonner, Danny Green) but right now our cabinet of rookies and younger players looks pretty much like a wasteland.

That dunk attempt was the game, lol. He makes that and he/the team are so fired up they roll. Tatum sits more to make room for Walsh and doesn't have 17 I'm exhausted turnovers. Pistons don't get 327 layup line drills. I wanna live in that timeline.

Oh brother

They've figured out how to use KP and have dominated with him the past 5-10 games. They're using him more as a play-finisher, to space the floor, more pick and pops and less post-ups. He sucked yesterday, and no, they're not even close to better without him. Their struggles with him before is what you saw last night, they were posting him too much.

I love what Kornet has done this year, but reality is he was unplayable in the playoffs last year past Round 2. You're not winning a chip with him as a starting center. Just like PP, he's gotta prove it when it counts.

People on this forum keep forgetting every RS that the playoffs is so much different; it's why PP has to prove he can be effective deep in the playoffs since he's never been, and it's why Kornet has to as well. KP and Jrue (who has been my biggest concern this year) have proven to be money when it counts. Grass ain't always greener.

I'll give you KP's durability though
