Trust the process.
Detroit is balling out rn. Last season they lost 30 in a row. A lot can change in a year.
IQ/Scottie/RJ/Ingram/Gradey + the rooks (Shead, Battle, Ja'Kobe, Mogbo) + the blue chipper (Chomche).
Pair that with a top-5 pick this year? Let's say Khaman Malauch. Oh man, oh man.
We're in a good spot right now. I think we'll be battling with Detroit/Orlando for future of the East very, very soon. Probably next year.
Just need to stay the course with the tank and not fall out of the bottom-5. Ideally, we could get to #4, but I think bottom-3 is out of reach now.
Prepare some new taglines. "We the North" needs a new modern twist.

Damn right he is. I'm really high on the kid.
The physical tools, the ability to move fluidly at 7'0, how quickly he learns the game, the effort he puts in... I'm going to reserve my actual thoughts on how much star potential I think he has, but yes he is.

Lol too funny.. like the hype for Gradey .... well, it is a fan forum.
But I do like the Raps potential starting unit next year.
Jury still out on the bench, but if we could land a good prospect with our pick, then we should be definitely playoffs bound.

I like Chomche a lot. But there's a reason he was a late 2nd rounder, probably undrafted if not for Masai.
He has great raw tools but he's VERY raw. Not Bruno Caboclo raw, but not too far off.

Please don't associate the Raptors with "the process".

Raptors next year will be better than the Pistons this year.
Raptors next year will also be better than the Pistons next year.
As a bonus forecast: BI will be all-NBA if he plays 65+ games.

Trust what process? Detroit built their teams from sucking for several years and getting 5th picks + 1st overall pick. It's nothing like how Masai has built our team, which is refusal to bottom out and tank. Why would you expose yourself to such blatant error?

I was told Raptors will be the next OKC. Who said that again?

FIFY
Are you high on Jericho Sims too? Because he is a lot stronger and more athletic than Chomche

Re: Trust the process.
Its playin or blow it up at this point. If we finish 5th, we will need no one to win the lottery. It's a top 5 draft so 6 and 9 are the same.
9 is as high as our lottery odds can be while still making the playin.
If we stay at 6, that would mean we lost to all the bad teams while having the easiest schedule of all time, gotta blow it up. No rookie is saving you.

Like his physical tools but after the injury he just had, we'll have to see how he comes back from that. He has youth on his side but still, a difficult injury for sure.
Don't think he's a blue chipper otherwise but I love that he's so low risk and cheap to keep around to develop because of where he was picked. Contrary to someone like Bruno Caboclo, who should've never been picked in first round.

But he learns quick.
And yes, "the process" is not just some Daryl Morey slogan. It's real.
every contender was built off of a process.

This summer, if we were to sign a 32-year old, a 28-year old and trade a young player for another 32-year old, you guys would lose your sh*t. And that's exactly what the Pistons did, which has led to their resurgence (signing Tobias, Malik, and trading Grimes for THJ).

Re: Trust the process.
draft will impact some team building moves this summer.
we also have a glut at the 2/3 so i expect a re-calibrating of our roster using one or two of these pieces.
i think we have talent but i don't know if we have chemistry - that will determine the success next year.

Yeah you so right. Detroit definitely had their resurgence from those guys.

100%.
just need another scottie level prospect this draft, get some good complimentary pieces, and then we're back to contending by 2027

the gap between scottie and cades defense is far greater than the gap between scottie and cades offense
wait till we get spacing around scottie, an offseason with ingram, the 2025 FRP
scottie gon be better than cunningham

Of course it helps to have an ALl Star, but Tobias has played the 2nd most minutes on that team. The 3 vets I mentioned are 3 of their top 5 players in MPG.
