i think it's clear, at least to me at this point, that Chet would go #1 in a redraft over both Paolo and Bari.

Sure, I agree but even he has some question marks, albeit both injuries could be categorized as "freak" injuries.

The problems with Paolo are adding up.

-He is just so damn inefficient and doesn't have a jump-off-the-page IQ, though I do consider him a smart player.
-He isn't a good enough shooter to have a true 3-level scorer impact.
-He isn't a good enough passer to fully utilize his size and scoring ability (which is inefficient as hell at this point) to put pressure on a defense.
-His defense is always going to be bad as a 4 defensively but maximized as a 5 offensively.

He needs to improve a ton in order to be a high-impact player. If he doesn't become a high-impact player, what exactly are you doing building with him and his defensive limitations?

you can't win with a star player who is that inefficient. i'm a paolo fan, but good heavens, if he can't figure that out, he's always going to be an empty stats guy on a losing team.

It's interesting to compare his DARKO to Chet. Chet is already close to +3 while Paolo is around -1 and has been steady around that point from the jump. It really could be the case that Paolo is going to make a career of empty stats. I'm not saying that's necessarily what is going on, but it's not like we haven't seen versions of that before.

Right now I'm 100% convinced Chet is the more impactful NBA player night in and night out.
