I mean in terms of contending. This would matter if they got Durant or something, but now they're just fodder for contenders. They're safe of not falling out of the play-in. It's better to figure out what their youth can do with more playing time now as I assume they'll gear up for a star trade this offseason.
Their young players are playing big minutes. They know what their youth can do already.
To think they are punting the season is wild.
