Sad this gets out. Just seems like a normal conversation unless coach called some separate meeting for that alone.

Guess Booker may be on the move too

I watched the Suns play last night vs the Pels and they had horrible vibes. Like, awful in every respect. That team is getting blown up end of the season, I have never been so sure of anything in my life.

I really doubt it.

They'll keep Booker (unless he demands out - no signs he will do that), move KD (almost no chance he's back next year) and fire Bud.

When I saw the headline I thought it was pretty weird on Bud's part but reading the little blurb I guess it makes sense that a coach would like to get a word in edgewise during timeouts and whatnot.

Another coach about to be fired for terrible roster construction.

Not saying Bud is great or anything but the roster is awful fitwise.

I just find myself more and more pissed for Frank Vogel.

Dude wins a chip for the Lakers and he's now been fired twice by teams that were literally impossible situations.

Not saying Bud doesn't look ridiculous here, or that Booker looks like a mature human being, but man, franchises have become ridiculous when it comes to firing coaches just hoping that a new voice can make Russell Westbrook shoot, Bradley Beal care, or Kevin Durant happy.

Bud is a solid coach and a really good guy, this wasn't a group of children that he was ever going to have any success with. Too many egos and prima donnas to genuinely make any headway that matters. I don't know very many coaches that could make this group work together. I hope he continues to get a shot to coach.

Booker is to old for a rebuild. I think they blow it up. By the time they do a full rebuild Booker will be in his 30's. Not like they got assets to improve immediately around Booker.

Send him to Charlotte for a bunch of picks. :D

Not a single coach could get that group playing well together. The roster construction is idiotic, both from a skill and personality standpoint.

The Suns have no draft picks until the 2030s. Booker is currently their only asset. If they rebuild, they'll have to trade him as that's the only way they can get draft picks.

What they'll probably try and do is build a semi-competitive team around him via free-agency over the next five years.

The only way for PHX to avoid 5 years of pure misery is to convince Houston to trade back their 3 1sts for Booker. I would be shocked if they don't try and negotiate with Houston this summer.

Well, he did get paid 31 million for one year of work lol. And it is pretty obvious to anyone looking that the Suns and Lakers were both better with him than without. As were the Pacers.

Houston owns their picks, feels like they traded Brooklyn's picks back to Brooklyn for Phoenix's picks specifically for this reason. Jalen Green + picks for Booker makes sense for both teams.

I somewhat hope Toronto gets him this off-season. Darko is fine development wise, but I don't trust him when you actually want to be a good team
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
