Mike Budenholzer Asked Devin Booker To Be Less Vocal With Teammates

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Feb 28, 2025 5:09 pm

Mike Budenholzer called a meeting with Devin Booker a few weeks ago asking his star to tone it down vocally both on the court and on the bench. Booker was shocked by the messaging from Budenholzer, who said he wanted the coaching staff to take the lead on communicating to the team. The Phoenix Suns are 2-10 over their past 12 games.

Booker alluded to the lack of communication following the Suns' loss on Thursday at home to the New Orleans Pelicans.

"It can be fixed with just a little bit more talking," said Booker. "When things get tough we get quiet as a team. From my experience and what I've seen, that's not the way to get through it."

"Skipping over the details and always taking the 'we'll get them next game' mentality. At some point you got to draw a line, and it should have been drawn a long time ago. I'd rather two people say the wrong thing to each other than nobody talk at all and leave the gray area.

"It's like any job or any group project you have to do. You have to do it together. I always look at myself first, but I also talk a lot."

Who leaked info on the meeting? That’s likely the troublemaker

Hes probably not saying the right things. Listen to the guys with championship experience, they've actually won things

Booker is famously a frontrunner. One of the loudest frontrunners out there. I'm going to go out on a hunch and say that has something to do with it.

So easy to tell booger is a jerk. The thing about people is they don’t really like jerks. Beal must remember what it was like to think he was the best backcourt in the league. Maybe he should have a talk with booger about his cocky attitude.
