I'm old enough to remember using the computer in the library to look up grainy 50-second highlight clips of Utah Andrew Bogut before the 2005 draft. Now you can find half-hour 4K highlight videos of any random G-league scrub lol.
I'm fine with taking fliers on late-bloomer potential guys. 6'11 and can shoot. Take enough swings on that archetype and you should eventually hit on one of them. Why not a legacy/blue blood dude?

Man, that Utah highlight tape of Bogut was amazing. I remember quite a few 3's in it...a skill that failed to transfer.

Yes, very cool, I know, but also illustrative of Hank Ellenson's mobility. I've seen this movie (Face Off) and I don't want it relived on a nightly basis on the Fiserv Forum floor (not electrified?), Jimmy Haslem's weekness for carceral visitors not with standing.
Then Ellenson has a high pain tolerance cuz he can jump for dunks and boards. It only effects him when moving laterally for whatever reason. Bad d, good o, boards is the Wal-Mart version of what he'd be temporarily replacing.
It's something discernibly brought to the table, unlike Nance. He doesn't even have his family's famous athleticism. Maybe he was the bad seed growing up and went to one of those island prisons for unruly youths where he got fitted w/ his magnetic shoes.

You want to give Ellenson the last roster spot? Ellenson is not able to sign a 2way.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

i dont know why but i woke up today feeling like i need to remind the community of how different Dame will look in the playoffs. now, it probably has something to do with watching him sleep walk through most of the game last night only to turn it up and make a few plays happen when it mattered. but playoff Dame is real and it's fantastic:
Game 1
Game 2
If he doesn't get hurt, we probably win that series with Pat Bev starting and the the corpse of Jae Crowder getting minutes. Now we have a much better supporting cast and hopefully a healthy Giannis.
I am choosing to be excited and optimistic. If I get crushed again I get crushed.

He's eligible for the hardship exemption spot. That could be handled thru 10-days, for example.
I guess you could do both. I'm just not a fan of using a slot on this Nance, from what I've seen.

Lateral movement important tho!
If Girth can do one thing at a high level, he do have the Nance the Younger the Lesser beat.

Crazy Pat C in the closing lineup.. I'm very optimistic

Let's look at the minutes from Game 1. Theoretically we were at our healthiest in game 1:
Dame 38
Pat Bev 38(!!!)
Khris 35
Brook 32
Bobby 31
Beasley 29
Pat 22
Jae 12
AJ Green 6
Now, let's compare to how things could go this time around:
Just guessing...
Giannis 38
Dame 38
Kuzma 35
Brook 30
Bobby 25
KPJ 20
Green 18
Trent 18
Prince 18
Just getting Giannis in there is already a massive boost. But now you feel good about the vast majority of those minutes.
Probably one of Trent/Green/KPJ has less minutes than that as Doc tightens the rotations and picks a winner at SG.

What if Khris just opts out and calls Horst and says, "ill take the most you can give me" and hes back on some exception.
Im not going to rule that out. Theres no way he wants to play for Washington for another year.

I’ll rule that out. He’s getting his $34M and not playing until January at the earliest. No team is giving him the three to four year deal it would take to ensure he makes more in the long run. He also doesn’t seem to want to grind out another three or four seasons to collect slightly more than he can make by opting in.
If there was any chance he’d opt out, the Bucks wouldn’t have paid the Wiz in the form of AJJo to take him.
Starting next season on the Wiz means he can take his time starting the season and then get bought out in late Feb and sign with a contender. If he goes to a contender before next season, they will want him on the court sooner than he wants to be out there. We saw that the past three seasons.

You don't know that he'll need offseason surgeries, and won't be playing in the playoffs for the 1st time in like 9 years. No Olympics right after a Finals run. An actual offseason.
Bucks included AJ Johnson in the deal to get under the 2nd apron.

Highly unlikely Horst is our GM next year.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Dalano Banton got to play last night because Avdija and Grant were injured. 23 points on 11 shots with 8 rebounds in 25 minutes. Dang he would have fit here perfectly.

Looks like we’re tied for 1st with 3 shooters who made the top 30, and tied for second worst with 3 who made the bottom 30.
