It’s the season for it. Get them all out of the way this season, let guys get healthy, let guys develop, get a higher value FRP if the team continues to struggle, or let guys step up with the opportunity provided.

Definitely not, it’s what keeps your kneecap in place.

It’s interesting that it went from a quad contusion…to lower down the leg with this trochlea injury. That’s quite a miss.

It seems like the Magic use "quad contusion" when they want to pretend an injury isn't as serious as it is, until the point where they are forced to disclose the truth. A quad contusion is not even in the same universe as a trochlea injury.

They've lied about the severity of Isaac's injuries for years, now doing the same thing with Suggs.

Id sit KCP now, he just doesn't look like hes moving well at all. Any one confident Weltman can awaken from his 4 year coma and bother signing a guard off waivers? Personally i hope we give Dennis Smith Jnr a crack. I reckon who even we do sign would probably end up our best guard with how bad the rest are

Paying Suggs was a risky proposition.

2021-22 48 games played
2022-23 53 games played
2023-24 75 games played
2024-25 35 games played

That ain't good.

On the bright side, Jeff gets to use the injury excuse for another year and extend his "evaluation" of the roster.

I’m adopting the emotional approach now

With this season, we have all earned the right to emotionally flip flop as frequently as desired.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I love Suggs but the way he plays, Im suprised when he isnt injured. I know him being reckless is what makes him good but he's gotta be able to be smarter.

Also for the sake of our medical staff, I hope this was known for a long time, and is just being announced now because Weltman wants to keep everything in house. If they just found this out now, than fire everybody.

Might as well tank. I’m serious.

The offense isnt going to change and Suggs won’t be back for a while. The team has limited tradeable assets and the pick could trend to have more value in this particular draft.

The system won’t progress without the proper coaching staff and roster changes. This team isn’t getting home court advantage and id even question the play ins at this point.

I love Suggs but it might be best to plan on him coming off the bench for the rest of his career here.
You want your starting lineup to be as consistent as possible.

Also, let's bring McClung in for the rest of the year.

I think Suggs is my favorite player of the current roster, but if the team's success is down to him, then what are Franz and Paolo and why are we bothering with them? Obviously we have deeper issues.
Still, in 4 seasons only once Suggs reached the threshold for awards consideration. Things dont look too bright right now...

Playoffs is a joke now. I would spend the rest of the year playing AB and Jett 25-30 mins a game. Im not a fan of either but might as well see what they got.

I think they initially diagnosed it as a contusion because it had all the symptoms of a contusion without the Scan. But once he got back onto the court and he still had pain they did the scan and probably caught it in a more comprehensive look.

From what im understanding of this it's a very uncommon and very broad injury. He'll probably be fine long term. But it looks like hes definitely not coming back this season.

You could tell something is off by simply watching him play and how he needed to be held to walk off.
How da f*** they gave him "questionabke" status for one game or were okey with him running????

He clearly hyperextended his knee with no contact to his thigh yet they said it was a thigh contusion and didn’t even bother to scan it? They don’t have a freaking MRI in the building or nearby? Can’t afford it? What a joke.
