I'm a little worried that the guys I'm eyeing in the draft will peter out just before our pick. As of now, I'm looking at Carter (no way), Graham (likely not), Banks, or Campbell. If none of those guys are there, my inclination would be to move down and look at Simmons, Nolen, maybe Membou, or one of the edge players.

I'm interested to see where OT Connerly goes. He seemed to be rising, but then he got posterized by Green at the Senior Bowl. I could see that single rep causing him to drop several picks. I don't think he's a great fit for what Kyle likes as he needs to get stronger and improve his run blocking, but if he falls into the second round, I would strongly consider a small move up and would definitely consider taking him at 43.

i'll gladly take one of Simmons or Membou at 11, in fact I kinda like both of them over Campbell/Banks.

i don't see a scenario in which at least two of these guys are not available at 11 for us, tbh.

Carter/Graham are pipe dreams though, Walter Nolen and Kenneth Grant are good but prefer OL and just address the DL in 2nd/3rd, it's a deep DL class.

I've been doing kind of an obsessive number of mocks lately, and I find that going OT, DE, DT in that order works out pretty nicely

exactly what I've been thinking and doing, best 1-2-3 punch has been an OT (in my case Membou or Simmons), then someone like Ezeiruaku in the 2nd, a Shemar Turner (DT) in the 3rd, followed by Will Howard with our second third.

it's a deep RB class so I'm hoping a bunch go before our 2nd round pick, but that's a two edge sword and we might not see any RBs taken before then because it's so deep

I'm fine with anything other than DB or WR at our current pick

Graham, Hunter, Grant, Nolen all not working out at the combine

so dumb, NFL needs to force these guys to workout like the NBA is doing now.

Mason Graham under 300 pounds and with 32' arms. It's not inconceivable he falls with measurements like that. Plenty of teams will likely drop him down their boards.

Jack Sawyer under 32" for his arm length. Could hurt him, too. He'll probably be below 5th percentile for arm length with that.

very possible, a lot of DTs are killing it in measurements and drills, so teams might say **** it and wait till the 2nd/3rd to get a DT

Mykel Williams at 6-5, 260 with 34+ inch arms, wouldn't be surprised if he goes top 10 tbh

It concerns me when they have crazy explosive numbers but don't do the agilities.

so Jalen Milroe's hands apparently grew almost an inch from the SB to the combine

i don't get how that can happen, but good for him, needed to clear that 9" threshold badly

if it wasn't for that ACL he'd be a top 5 lock, now it's question of how hard he'll drop but that's a tough injury but the talent is top level.

Now that they've traded Deebo, watch them move up to draft another WR, after using a 1st last year for Pearsall.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
