I'm not thrilled with it either.

If we add another legit WR 2 during free agency I'll feel better about this move.
I don't think we should . I mean maybe but I think we should be focusing on getting good young guys in the draft Terry's not super young debo is washed and his best days are absolutely over. We need youth and potential.

We really have no choice but to sign AND draft receivers.

We only have three on the roster.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

My guess is there will be an extension/restructuring of Deebo's deal to reduce his cap number in 2025. Perhaps push some cash into 2026 and 2027.

I am not too concerned about trading a 5th round pick for a 29 yr old veteran. There were several other teams interested in him.

Deebo only counts $2 million against the cap next season. This guy predicted this exact trade yesterday. He gave a salary breakdown too.

Me, neither.

They need linemen and should have saved the pick and the FA money. Deebo brings baggage.

I was against the Lattimore deal. I'm against this one, too. Samuel has played his best football.

Maybe this can rejuvenate his career like the Commanders did Ekeler.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

I don't think this one's as awful as latimore.
That was a silly evaluation.

While I think we would have been better off keeping the 5th. If DeBo can have a bit of a resurgence it's fine. It's one day 3 pick it's not the end of the world. If we some how send out Allen and get back a 6th or some 7ths I'll care much less about this move.

Boy do I have a guy for you!

DJ Giddens from Kansas
Will be 21 on draft day 6-1 215. Runs 4.56
He's a big power back with slightly above average speed for his size. He's smart and obviously has good fast twitch decision making ability. He has competent hands and can function as a receiving back just fine

Over the last two years as a starter at Kansas he's racked up he racked up over 3000 yards of total offence and over 20 TD on about 6 yards a carry and 12 yards per catch.

He would be a wonderful day two pick for the commanders whoa re in need of a stud. This dude is a stud.

Deebo has had one great season—4 years ago. Beyond that he’s basically carbon copy of Curtis Samuels.

This is now a 3rd, 4th, 5th, & a 6th for Lattimore and deebo.

Reminds me of when Snyder would pick Laron Landry in the first round and we’d play golf the rest of the afternoon cuz they had no more picks.

I'm hoping that's not the case because the GM and HC have a stellar rep for development of late day 3 picks I hate trading all these picks away but we still have 3 top 100 picks and a 6 and two 7s I hope we get some late picks for Allen.

What a terrible waste of assets. Deebo looked done last season. Was never a good route runner. Basically
he was the WR version of Antonio Gibson who's best asset was being explosive after the catch but appears to have lost that fastball. Has to schemed open which he can be done here but I would have much rather drafted someone with younger, fresher legs and not get stuck with a $20 mil price tag.

It feels like Peters' has less confidence in his draft choices than he should. Throwing away all these mid round picks for injury prone guys passed their prime is a problem we've had for years and its disappointing it's continuing.

I have some concerns about this trade but let's see if Deebo is suddenly rejuvenated playing with Jayden.

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see what other receivers we sign/draft.

Add some youth and vertical speed to the group and I'll feel better.

Deebo looked good in week 16 https://youtu.be/Q7cf1LrQZFs?si=z0nQ8vqK9QFmd7Hm

He could have a bounce back like Ertz did.

Felton, even in round one, would have been a wiser investment.

Felton is nowhere close to being a first rounder.

He ran a 4.3 and he showed out at the combine. He definitely earned him self millions at the combine.

If we some how get anything for Johnathan Allen this will be a win. There are several teams with a lot of extra picks that might be willing to let go of their 7ths to add a vet.
