HAWKS
In:Bam/Wiggins
Out:OO/Risacher/T.Mann/Niang/Bufkin/KINGS 25 FRP(now 15) and 2027 futuro FRP(prot)
Since the HAWKS don't control their future draft, they make a win-now move, creating a contender around Trae in the best way possible.
HEAT
In: Risacher/OO/T.Mann/Niang/Bufkin/KINGS FRP/Future FRP
Out: Adebayo/Wiggins
Heat out of contention and without a clear path to get there, regroup with plenty of young talent, financial flexibility and draft picks

We have a clear path. Free agency, 2026 and development. We're not trading Bam

Atlanta can’t afford that roster but it is very good. Just one year until Dyson gets a big raise and Bam goes up to his max. Don’t think Atlanta ownership would sign up for those years.
If Miami conveys their first to OKC, I actually like this if you flip OO for another future asset.
Set up a single down season with Ware, Jovic, Zac, JJJ, Herro. Then decide if you build in 2026 or are not worried as the 2027 first is lottery protected.
That small rebuilding window would really help if the team can’t attract a star in 2026 (since the 3 main ones are likely off the table by the time next season starts)

Re: Hawks/Heat
Granted, Bam has a much better resume to date than Okongwu, but this year they've had about the same impact. You could even argue that Okongwu has been better. Plus, Okongwu is 3 years younger and will be making ~$16M per year on his extension while Bam will be making ~$55M per year on his extension. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm not even sure if I make that deal straight up, let alone giving up the #1 overall pick, two future firsts, and taking on an albatross contract. That's a big no for me, dog.
