His name wasn't mentioned much on this forum, I don't know much about him but he must be awful if he's 6'7 with a 7'1 wingspan and nobody wants him. He's gotta be better than Matt Ryan though, right?

I called it in this thread!!! They worked him out alone and he had the dinner with Thibs and Leon. They were scouting him and Dyson the most that year. When it became pretty clear Dyson was going to rise up they started focusing more on MarJon.

He's worth a flier.

We need to find some diamonds in then rough because we have very little flexibility moving forward.

So what is his scouting report. He's a 2 way player... they are mostly fringe NBA players. But what are his strengths and weaknesses?

Two things in mind..... It was a weak draft. His scouting report was he could maybe develop into a 3&D wing but he was older so they considered him a high floorguy. His defense isn't as good in the league but the guys he is defending are better. You ask me his ceiling I say Kelly Oubre type of player. A starter on a bad team, but a reliable roleplayer on a good one. He is a better prospect than Toppin and Ryan because in theory maybe by next year he can join the big team. He was on Ignite with Dyson so just like Dyson you wonder what he can do with some support since they both have been treated like low ceiling prospects their whole career.

His shot isn't broken, I think he needs a more structured environment. He did well on the Ignite but the clippers and bucks are not what I would call structured developmental environments.

He struggled in the G League as a shooter think he shot like 25% or something in the 20s but in the pros he’s shot about 35% on like 240 attempts so maybe there’s some room for him to become a 3 and D guy still. You like the length maybe he can develop into a guy off the bench by next year to replace Shamet or something, not a terrible flyer for a 2 way contract.

Old man looks.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

no team is going to trade anything good for mitchell robinson, his up side if he can stay healthy way outweighs anything we could possibly get back for him

Agreed. I actually like this move as a kick the tires move and I think he could eventually be a Shamet replacement on the roster. If you looked at the bucks he was looking like a much better prospect early as a catch and shoot player who can cut to the rim. Then Dame got there and they changed their scheme to want guys to drive and kick out more because Dame is a legit catch and shoot threat and you want to collapse the paint to either past to dame for the three or Giannis cutting. Also his three wasn’t nearly as good as the other wings on the roster.

His 3 ball isn’t great but his shot isn’t broken. His defense isn’t shut down, but it’s pesky due to his arm length, I think he could be really effective in drop coverage.
