When it rains it pours.

Kyrie/AD is the shakiest superstar foundation in NBA history.

Imagine the Mavericks lose almost every game remaining now and they wind up with Flagg.

Hate to see this, honestly. This stinks for the sport. Feel bad for Mavs fans. Season couldn’t have gone worse.

old injury prone core of AD/Klay/Kyrie.....what could go wrong. They had a few years of contention, 1 of those years is already out the window. I was rooting for them though, don't want to sound like a hater.

When someone ignores tail risk, bad outcomes eventually occur.

This is brutal, really rough for Mavs fans, the teams, and for Kyrie himself. Looks like he'll be opting into his contract this summer.

Is there any point to even bringing back AD this year?

Prayers up for Kyrie. This news sucks for him and the Mavs. No way he opts out of his contract after this right? When it rains it pours, Luka trade was already an all time bad transaction but my God this is looking irredeemable.

Brutal. This sucks. Mavs are putting together one of the worst 40-day stretches in pro sports history.

Feel for him. He seemed happy and his rep was being built back up. I don't know if he comes back the same guy at 33-34 off an ACL with his injury history.

For the Mavericks...year 1 of your 2 year window has closed.

Damn that’s basically two seasons down the drain. At his age you can’t throw Kyrie into the playoffs next year if he’s back around this time. Likely opts in so it’s like the worse outcome for the Mavs.

Do you shut down AD?

Feel bad for Kyrie but he should be good to able to get one more decent contract after this

That sucks, i hope he makes a full recovery.

He might as well opt in and rehab next season, his full season may be in jeopardy for 2025-26.

Say what you want about Kyrie, he's injury prone, he's a little crazy. But he is also one of our best NBA players and the NBA is better with Kyrie.

This timing sucks. Will most likely cost him the rest of this season and all of next season. Jamal Murray effectively tore his ACL at this time of the year and lost 2 seasons from it.

I'm sick to my stomach. As basketball fans I think we can all agree that it's devastating losing a talent like Kyrie.
