And "The Hive" Charlotte Coliseum was the place to be, they were consistently near the top of the league in attendance and, having been there in person in the Muggsy/Curry/LJ/Mourning era, can attest to it being one of the loudest arenas I've ever been in. Shame what has happened to the franchise, it's a basketball town that just needs one good team to bring the fan magic back.

It’s weird. Charlotte can attract fans. Charlotte FC has been killing it. During the Cam years Panthers stadium was booming. You just can’t have a terrible team for 2 decades or people will lose interest(maybe the lose it faster in Charlotte as Panthers games don’t do well these days either.)

Fanbase was awesome in 2016 during their last playoff appearance.

That being said it can’t be understated the damage that the Bobcats did to this city. Bob Johnson the initial owner after expansion was a horrible person and terrible to the city and made the sport into a joke here. It takes a long time to change perceptions. That being said I believe the fanbase still could be great, but if and only if the team was commensurately great as well.

They have to build the culture. Draft the right players and hit on free-agency. Also finding the right coach with staff. Also the front office makes the difference as well.

Johnson was a bad owner, but I missed how he was a bad person?

I honestly have less hope than I did this time last year, because back then we had hope of a new front office changing things. This year has proven it’s more of the same.

Salaun was like the youngest player selected in the whole draft right? There is still upside even if he needs some time to work on his game.
He shoots 27 from 3 and 30 overall. Its like watching a baby deer crossing the interstate when hes on the floor. He has no skill that is nba caliber. Not a single one.

Gotta give credit to their broadcast crew. As bad as they are, it's very entertaining. They might be the only other team that I can deal with if I can't get the Lakers feed

It's joke of a front office made blatantly evident when they refused to cut ties with the wife beater Miles Bridges.

As much of a joke of a team as the Hornets are their prospects are still a lot higher than the Suns FO which has made quick work to damage the franchise and rob us of any lottery picks until 2032!

The Hornets probably have a higher chance of winning the finals in the next 10 years than the Suns do!

Going off that basis, there should only be like 5 teams in the NBA.

Top tier FAs are only going to a handful of teams.

I'm rereading to find where I wrote "top tier FA's." I don't see it. Let me know if you come across it.

There are worst cities than Charlotte.

If you feel that way about Charlotte imagine how you feel about the smaller markets lol

Fun fact Charlotte/Raleigh both cities in NC are often ranked in the top 10 of places to live in America. It's a decent city, but not the idea place for millionaires.

Our attraction has more to do with being awful. Nobody wants to play for a losing franchise especially in a smaller market city.

Look at Atlanta they are attractive as a city, but they struggle to get talent because they haven't proved to be a consistent winning franchise.

Not sure who else you’d be referring to then. Mid tier FAs typically sign wherever. They did a sign and trade to get Gordon Hayward, who was a decent FA at the time, so if you aren’t talking about top tier FAs, then who are they not signing?
