People in trade and transactions are still pulling the "Well, the Heat are never bad enough to get the #1 pick, so their picks are useless and we need double of what anyone else would pay in terms of picks."

Damn, hate to see that.

For the Heat this basically guarantees the Warriors playoff berth but on the other hand they were to me the biggest threat to land KD, now I don’t see that happening.

Suggs out for the year as well, bodes well for our perimeter guys if we end up playing them in the play in.

Jeez. I feel bad for Kyrie. He was finally getting some respect back after the whole controversies and he was due for a pay day this offseason. We complain a lot but it could be worse. Imagine being a Philly or Dallas fan. I imagine next step is to shut down AD for the season. And forget KD. I wonder if Dallas goes the opposite route and rebuilds and puts AD on the market. AD and Bam defensively would be a nightmare. I think rebuilding makes more sense for them. Then wasting a year of AD waiting for Kyrie to get healthy and not knowing what version of Kyrie you get back. If its AD, then you'd be willing to put Ware on the table

You hate to see guys go out with major injuries. I was hoping it really was just a sprain, but when I saw the play it seemed unlikely. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery, but he's probably out until December.

We have some but not really a bunch to get into any type of bidding wars. I do think we have enough for the right deal. I don't think we will have 4 picks to trade as we will be paying out OKC once we win in our play in game. It's for the good of the future though so with that said we'll have the GSW 18-20 1st, a protected 2029 pick that rolls into 2030 unprotected, and 2032 pick to trade. JJJ's trade value is more of just a high end filler at this point and Jovic is going to be heading into a contract year. The highest valued young player we currently have is Kelel Ware who will take a lot to pry off of us.

We have some expiring contracts to play around with. So yeah technically we are better off then we were but that still doesn't put us close to what some of the other teams have out there is terms of draft capital. Any major deal with us involves mortgaging our trade leverage again. 2027 pick to the Hornets is still going to tie things up for 2028. We will have to target a player that a team wants to get off money wise and also acquire some assets making it a fair deal that we won't be getting into a bidding war with some teams. Any notion that Durant is going to say Miami only is hope traffic summer all over again.

The last time Durant requested to come here was under the premise that Jimmy Butler was also going to be here. I also don't think the Suns are too pleased with us playing extreme hardball with Jimmy even though they really had nothing to give us aside from Beal. My betting sense has Durant in Houston who if you just take a quick glance can see they have everything in there favor to make an easy deal with the Suns. The other darkhorse would be the Spurs who were able to retain there treasure trove of picks even after the Fox deal. If all else breaks down we might have an outside chance at Durant but think we will be looking elsewhere for more timeline friendly players who also continue to provide future cap flexibility.

I still don’t think it’s a sure thing we make the playoffs this year, this team is prone to fuxk around and lose games they have no business losing.

I’d be shocked if the Heat Thunder and Rockets aren’t trying to get KD this summer, if the Thunder don’t win I honestly don’t see why they don’t snag him. Health permitting they win the next 2 or so championships and it would make for the perfect story. I’m not sold on Houston still

Maybe we can snag AD and a rehabilitated Kyrie at next years deadline lol that’d be a fun ass team to watch.

The East is so terrible that it seems like a forgone conclusion that we will make the playoffs. I also forgot to mention OKC as that probably lends to a good story line him returning back to where it all started for some unfinished business. They have to finally cash in on the zillion picks they got.

With a front court of Ware and Bam you can be fine with a backcourt of Herro and Young. The guys you bring in off the bench can be the hardcore defensive guys like Mitchell, HH, and Pelle. Young and Herro can also be staggered to allow a prime optimal backcourt scorer to be on the floor at all times to help over come droughts.

How are we getting Young again if you have both Tyler & Bam still on the Heat? He's still under contract next season, so has to be a trade. So what are we sending to ATL? JJJ, Niko and our palty draft assets can't be it.

Wiggins and Rozier and firsts.

If Hawks were desperate to trade away Hunter there is no way they would want Wiggins contract plus they don’t control their own picks until 28 so there is zero reason to tank for more picks.

Heat cant afford to lose more games like the been doing vs the Knicks and Bucks. Gotta start having a winning record pace.

They are a game ahead of Orlando who’s dealing with injuries again and two games ahead of the Hawks for the 7th seed. Doubt they get anywhere near the 6th seed Pistons. If they finish .500 they’ll lock down the 7th seed with ease.

Mavs with all the injuries will now be fully invested in tanking. Probably be under .500 soon

Maybe I'm being too picky but I feel like going for KD is settling for the single mom with 3 kids from 3 different baby daddy's who just wants to lock up a provider, and yeah she still looks decent for her late 30's with the money she spent on surgery but you know she's nothing like what she was, and you give up the chance for anything better now and in the near future, with no loyalty from her beyond what's in your bank account.
