Re: Keep or Trade Devin Booker in the off season?
If we do keep Booker and we lose at the pace B4 CP3, he can kiss his chance to ever be in the HOF.
What happened to Mr. Legendary anyway? Don't get me wrong I really like the guy when he plays up to his god given potential. Unfortunately, he has not done that very much recently.

Re: Keep or Trade Devin Booker in the off season?
Book has been overrated for a while now. He’s on the level of Lavene, Murray, Derozan, Hero, etc. They gave him a max deal for optics as much as worth. Unless he improves to 40%+ from three, and somehow gets rid of his sloppy ball handling , we are seeing peak Book. Looks
Like it will be up to him to ask out.
I’m indifferent about his future here as we will very likely suck for the next 3-5 yrs with or without him.
And Indifferent is about where my level of ‘fandom’ has landed.

Booker is deemed untouchable and doesn't want to leave.

Book knows he won’t get the Supermax extension anywhere else. Taking a page out of Beal’s playbook. Time he’s done here, he’ll have the all-time leading losses to add to his Suns records

If Ishiba does not trade Booker and continue to build around him leading Suns to non playoff seasons and having their lottery picks swapped out for late picks is unforgivable.
Just horrible.
And Booker is insanely overvalued by Suns, he is not a player you build around. He is a 2nd banana at the very best.

But I think saying Booker is untouchable could also just mean Suns want better offers...
So we will see how dumb or cunning the Suns FO are... but I'm leaning towards the former.

Not that surprising as Ishbia's behaviour so far has indicated he'll not touch a player who's seen as the franchise face. Booker obviously wants to be seen as such too while collecting max money. If the losing continues next season maybe one of these two sides changes their mind.

He was very good for awhile but this season he seems a step slow & unable to get past defenses, disengaged and apathetic and definitely not a top 10 player.
He went Godlike in the series against Denver but maybe that was his final hurrah and we may never see him reach that level ever again.

He already got the Supermax. The only way he gets it again is to be on an All NBA team once in the previous 3 years when his contract his up. Or be the MVP or all defense.
I'm pretty sure he can make just as much elsewhere on his next contract.

Book is still pretty good. He's top 10 in scoring this year. A disaster of a year.

I hope the talk about not trading Booker and building around him is just that… talk
But if they think they can build around Booker - they are delusional

Houston and Detroit going down in the 1st round would be a early Xmas gift for all of us. Via sweep or 4-1 preferably.

Well that’s good for us I guess. I thought he was going to be eligible for 70 mill per next go round.
I think I’ll be done with the nba when somebody hits 1mill per game. It won’t be long

The eye test though tells me he has not been at the level he used to be in previous years. I don't know what exactly is wrong with him but maybe he just doesn't give two **** about the game anymore besides putting up stats?

Exactly right. Thats what the Suns need
I think a lot of the above is just posturing to not tank his value
