Yeah, Beal quit a while ago. Who wouldnt quit? The core is going to be split up and Suns are not competing anymore.

I have not been following so please excuse me if this has been covered, what is the aftermath of the Nurkic trade? We gave up Nurkic and a first round pick for what again? Was it entirely a dollar savings move?

The Phoenix Suns traded center Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick,

Both are unguaranteed next year. They got out the 2nd apron for Orlando’s 1st next year.

It just blows my mind that this guy could be so unbelievably delusional! 15 yr rebuild incoming in the next 2-3 years. There needs to he a massive boycott and protests until he sells the team! He's going to go down as the worst owner in Arizona history by a wide margin!

I believe they are right on this.
If you have Booker at the perfect age to fight for a ring, then you need some veterans around to create a competitive roster.
So the steps are to trade KD and Beal and may be more players to get 2-3-4 good players than can fit our needs.
Then picks are not useful because they mean spending more if they are high picks.

I see KD was tired of Bud and Booker bs and took over. I saw someone say Bud mentioned how he didn’t mind KD being vocal and he’s like that all the time. Yet Booker and his team leaked that story to Haynes to make him look bad. I’m sure his stans are going to blame KD for it.

They will not be able to really crack the playoffs with the rising teams in the west and the toughest ones at the top. Lakers not have Luka, Houston, Denver, Memphis and OKC are all really young, SA will be tough next year, the Blazers are getting better (almost beat Cleveland in OT), Minnesota with Edwards and solid D, etc.

The smartest thing this FO has done in years is not lay it on the table how bad and desperate things feel to other teams. Why give them the power by saying "we want our picks back" and "Booker has to go". Let them drive up the price.

Been a Gilliespie fan. He’s a dawg. Booker has obviously quit and trying to get Bud fired since their meeting so it’s needed. This stupid guard obsessed team needs to cut that bum Ty Ty and get a forward that’s a dawg from the G league. They don’t have their pick. Have some pride to close out the season but the Suns front office didn’t get their Jimmy so they don’t care.

I think regardless of Book saying he doesn't want to leave, I think he may change his tune, if not this summer, next. What can we really do to retool around him? Not much.

I would think this is the process. Don't make it known that Booker is going to be traded. Durant is already out there.

And truly, make the Durant trade and see where the team stands. I guess that is fair to see what a Durant trade brings. That said, I think this is more the Front Office not wanting it out there, they are not blowing it up. Gerald B wrote something and now Gambo said the same thing.

Now, if the Suns are truly intent on keeping Booker as they think they can build something so those picks are not in the lottery, they are delusional.

I hope he asks out. Make it easier to get rid of his sorry ass without having the few young Booker fans he has left in the basin complain.

Booker, Ishbia and Jones are the spearhead of the problems with this organization right now! Jones has always sucked as a GM! team was just winning so he got credit he didn’t deserve. The uncomfortable truth is Ishbia is a trash owner but some people fell in love with $2 hotdogs.

Booker has and always will be a fraud “superstar”. Booker is a complementary star at best (Klay Thompson at best). His piss poor attitude and self-entitlement (magnified by his bitching about not being picked by fans or coaches as a Star) has finally run its course. Let some other franchise coddle him.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

It would be different. But the reality is moving forward. And moving forward, they are stuck with Beal. They don't have control of any of their draft picks, and are above the second apron. And unless they make a really good trade with Durant, I think they will still be above the second apron

So yes, Ishbia can say "we went for it and failed but will keep trying' as his reason to move forward trading Booker and Durant

The Suns need to try hard to move Beal in the summer.

It’s a big need because he can't play basketball with any type of consistency anymore and we can't keep bearing him for two more years.

I know that it's easier said than done...but we need to find a way to get a couple of mediocre players for him and attach one FRP to him to facilitate the trade.

Hells no.

We're not giving away assests to get rid of a guy. Haven't you seen enough of that with both Ayton and Nurk?

Beal does not work well with KD and Booker because they need a good defender and scorer as the third option. Like say for Boston Jrue Holiday. It's not all on Beal he can play some defense at times but is not consistent. I would rather trade Beal and keep Durant and Booker. The problem is Beal is impossible to trade due to his NTC. So yeah the Beal trade ruined the KD and Booker era of Suns basketball.

Hard to tell who ruined this failed "Big 3" experiment. It's actually all of them. Booker is overpaid and overrated, KD is old so not much effort on D limiting his impact, Beal is fragile and a shell of his former self. All in all, really bad evaluation of their capabilities by the people who pay their huge salaries.
