Too late for JT Thor. The Wizards just picked him up.

EDIT: Beauchamp is gone too. https://nypost.com/2025/03/03/sports/knicks-sign-former-first-rounder-marjon-beauchamp-to-two-way-deal/

Oh, I knew they were gone, which was kind of my point.

Oh well.

I've been thinking that very same thing lately, it's always AKs face we see about but you never see Marc anymore, trade deadlines, drafts, offseason... nothing.

AFAIC he has been MIA since bringing DeMar to Chicago.

Don't look now, Portland has won 5/6 and 15/21 and is .5 back of Phx for 11th and 4 back of Dallas for 10th. And Kyrie just tore ACL. Outside shot at 10th, meaning win 2 games against Wolves/Kings/Clips and they're in the playoffs.....and Bulls get their pick.

Might be the best shot we have had to date. Even just making the playin would make that pick more likely to convey before 2028.

AK with the long game, you know he's got his eye on Dalen Terry's younger brother. Sure he doesn't actually play basketball, but he's athletic and long as hell, once we get him in our "development program," he'll be the next Cooper Flagg!

This might be the worst year ever to be a Mavs fan.

The news about Kyrie (torn ACL) was awful. And yeah, Dallas is toast. Kyrie won't be back until the 2026 season, at which time he will be a 34 year old small coming back from a long-term injury. There's not much chance that he will ever recover his previous form. And AD will be an injury-prone 33 year old ... just yikes.

Nico just went from trading Luka to "win now" to needing to possibly rebuild and look for the next Luka he just traded away. Life in the fast lane.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

With Kyrie gone, if I'm AD I'm asking for a trade since that team isn't even going to make the play-in.

I offer Patrick Williams for AD. Given by Doncic trade that's fair value for Mavs.

Kyrie has a player option next year for 43 million. I assume he exercises it...?

After that do the Mavs move on? Or try to sign him to a small deal (to see how well he recovered)?

The Kyrie/AD era seems to be over before it even started. Maybe they should consider trading AD and starting over?

I think Kyrie will return just fine.

He's a hard worker and it's 2025, players come back from ACLs these days.

A lot has to go right health-wise, but a healthy Dallas team is a contender.

But moving it back to this year. I think Portland gains a real shot and making the play-in, and once there.... two lucky wins and we've got ourselves an additional 1st.

Let's go PDX!

It sucks, but he'll make 43 million next year while recovering. He'll be fine.
