Melo, Mark, and Miles still out there down 20 with 7 minutes left.

Injury inbound in 3... 2...

Mark and Lamelo have become incredibly soft and I’m worried it may be terminal. Melo had dog in him the first two years. Tanking, sitting out constantly, and being super cautious about health is not good for your development as a player

Mark looks like he's been studying old Zeller tape to perfect the bobble the board around maneuver. His halfassery is a concern.

You know he missed a calendar year due to injury right? Thinking that might have been the biggest variable. Tough to develop when you literally can't play at all for more than a year.

Melo and Mark both had pretty bad games tonight.

On a positive note, Miles has been extremely good of late.

All of my Mark observations come with a huge * for obvious reasons. This is truly a developmental year for Mark and he HAS to hit the weight room and gain strength in order to really be a starting caliber C. He gets pushed around by pretty much everyone else in the paint and it really holds him back on both sides of the ball.

I only watched the 2nd half, but I thought Mark was pretty good on defense last night. He challenged a lot of shots at the rim.

I think both are still very good for their age and are clearly core building block level talents. Both have the physical tools and skill that we need on paper.

Neither are strong enough mentally or physically to win us games alone right now. Thats fine because we’re tanking. I just worry about what it looks like when we finally flip the switch to “on” and actually compete.
