Suns/Clippers/Wizards

SUNS
In:Kawhi/Champagnie
Out:Beal/Dunn/FRP25 /FRP27 (Cavs/Jazz/Min)

Suns have declared Booker untouchable so they will try to keep competing.. they trade Beal for the best player possible.. he has a huge risk of failure but in desperate situations, desperate measures, if it works out the improvement is incredible, even with KL at 70%... regardless they can keep trading KD for players who win now or who knows maybe KD decides to run out his contract and make one last run

CLIPPERS
In: Middleton/Smart/FRP25
Out:Kawhi/KBrown

Ballmer seems very committed to winning and probably knows that this team has a limited and downward trending ceiling..they make this trade where they still have a decent team on the court to fill the new arena but above all it prepares them for the 2026 free agency completely cleaning the books except for Zubac and DJJ who are at a good age and have good contracts to be part of the new project...some free agents who could be interested in landing in LA to lead the next project..
Trae Young/Porzinguis/Bridges/Lavine/Dort.. by then they will have also replenished some draft capital...
(Additionally they could make a consolidation move by sending Bogdanovic/+ Filler+FRP25 (received from the Suns) to the Jazz for Collins.. he gets an upgrade and secures his bird rights)

WIZARDS
In :Beal/Dunn/Brown/FRP 27(by SUNS)
Out:Smart/Middleton/Champagnie

mainly to accumulate assets...they get their idol back in a veteran/mentor role, a good defensive end prospect and a future FRP... far from competing, Beal's contract won't hurt them

Hard pass by the Wiz. We take on $55M in additional salary in 26/27, while giving up solid vets and a locked up 23 y/o rotational piece at 2M/Year... For a pick in the late 20's?!?

I don't think you're getting Champagnie as a throw in on a close value deal; he's been impressive in his limited time and is a fan and front office favorite. Maybe Jaylen Martin or Colby Jones. That said, he hasn't done enough to be valued as more than that. Beal's been pretty clear he doesn't want to come back to Washington as well.

Not sure what incentive there is for the Wizards to do this deal. Beal is still owed $110M after this season. the 27 1st has a little value, and the other 2 are just throw in players.

I would say Dunn has value, his defense will keep him in the league though it is concerning that he's fallen out of the rotation a bit in Phoenix considering their season so far.

Very assertive no thank you from Phoenix!
This vfc would be terrible value for Phoenix. They've already compounded mistake after mistake giving away assets for aged injury prone players. And they already have almost no assets left now and a very bleak future too.

This trade has us giving up two firsts of our already very limited assets and our only young promising cost controlled talent and best defender for a team that's horrifically bad defensively. And although Kwahi is a great talent, he is very injury prone and on a huge contract. It's just more of going in the wrong direction and paying for it in the process.

Phoenix emphatically passes!

Phoenix can't trade any picks until 2033.

They traded their 2031 1st for those 3 1sts from Utah, so they still have some flexibility of which picks they can trade, but after the draft, they can essentially trade 2-3 1sts and an unprotected swap in 2032.

Well the '32 will be frozen with them finishing this season over the 2nd apron.
