Gonna be a loooooong 20 games.

Yeah, and most of the talk has been about tanking, whether the win was good. Rather than our recent 1st rounder sinking a 3 point buzzer beater.

Good point. It is unfortunate that there really is no reason to be hype about what was an exciting finish.

The NBA in my opinion strongly needs to take further steps to curb this ****. We pulled starters like this was a pre-season game
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I missed the close wins over Orlando, haven't been watching regularly. Yesterday I heard Sho Alli on Fan 590 really complaining about Darko pulling starters down the stretch of the most recent game. I think he used the word disgusting. Really bad look he said, even though Raps won. I was surprised Darko did something so blatant, presumably at front office directive. I don't like sitting healthy guys either, but it seems to me when guys are healthy and playing, you have to try to win in that given game.

I know it's old news now and I'm commenting late. But I wonder if the NBA will step in, or if they would if the Raps had lost

I thought there would be more of a reaction. Michael Grange wrote an absolute butt-sniffer of an article passing on the company line that those 10 day guys at the end of the Orlando game were out there to get critical experience that will help us in the long-term.

I mean I don't see how Raptors only playing the starters 25-30 minutes is such a big deal when we have other teams lying about injuries and milking every bruise.

If the NBA doesn't like it - CHANGE THE **** RULES.

I wasn't expecting the NBA to react, but I thought there'd be someone in the media challenging Darko in a scrum.

I much prefer the old tried and true route of just sitting players? It removes any guess work of “what if” but it seems guys like Scottie and Yak have incentives to play as many games possible for some kind of bonus I guess. Is there a big difference between 4th and 8th picks this draft? I don’t really think so, in terms of what our team needs anyways. But we won’t know that for a while anyways, and Masai will be long gone to take the heat for it if any.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

My understanding from the guy on the radio was it wasn't the total minutes but the way the best guys were all benched down the stretch. Right?

Again I'm limited by not having watched but was there any reaction from players? I can't imagine, in the heat of a close game, that Scottie, RJ, IQ and others weren't upset at not finishing?

They were cheering on their teammates.

If I were them I would be going all out to finish the year to ruin the Raptors' draft stock. It's super insulting to be told you are not valued on a team.

Tanking hard should be the priority. If that means playing our starters 20-25 minutes a night, other than RJ, so be it. There's 20 games left and we have to make the best of it.

The goal should be to inflate RJ's stats and improve his tradeability, I would also do the same with Dick. We have to prep them before we trade them and it would drive them to have a higher value later on.

Poeltl (20) / Robinson (28)
Barnes (25) / Mogbo (23)
Barrett (36) / Walter (12)
Dick (25) / Agbaji (16) / Walter (7)
IQ (25) / Shead (23)

Then we need to match the Jazz's energy and hold players out for rest like Poeltl and IQ, if the NBA investigates we can say they have prior injuries that were aggrevated.
